boycey because no normal person over the age of 12 would want to wear a shirt to a football match .
buying/wearing a shirt does not make you a hardened fan , the 50 pounds you spend on that shirt would be better spent on buying a few beers on match day .
Oh, Christ, here we go YET AGAIN...
NOT buying a shirt and spending all that money on getting pissed before the game does NOT make you a hardened fan, either.
"Normal" people are not ashamed to be seen in their club's colours as they have nothing left to prove about themselves or their allegience to the club. If you don't want to wear colours because it makes you look like a poof, then you crack on...but leave people to make their own choices without branding them subnormal or abnormal. I 'm damn sure they don't give a shit about what you're wearing.
I've always thought - and I'll never change this view - that anyone who does gives a flying toss about fellow fans wearing colours has a very tiny mind and a very big complex about something that really, really shouldn't bother them at all.
