Yes, nowhere near the extent the English did and you know it. And denying it or trying to make out that it was an equally two way thing is exactly why some of them rightly hate the English even now.

I respect that level headed approach 2WW1WC, and i'm sure that if England was full of people like you then the rivalry would die down a bit. It's a shame a small minority continue to give English support a bad name round the world.

I don't know of any other English supporter who goes out of their way to wear the shirt of the team that Scotland happen to be playing, I've never heard "stand up if you hate the Scots" chanted at any English league match.

I've heard some pretty nasty stuff sung at England games when no Scots or Irish team was there. And whatever you say, RL, most scots don't give a stuff about England, as the BBC survey before the WC showed. Indeed it was mostly positive - stereotyping people's views is stupid and dangerous, so don't do it. And as for taking chants at the football seriously, I'm quite friendly with a few Swindon fans, despite having professed to hate them at the mad a few times.

I can understand Scotland fans bitterness, if my national side was so sh1t it hadn't qualified for the last 4 major tournaments I'd probably be as bitter as them.

I've seen England lately. Nothing against them, but it aint pretty. There's a lot of anti-scots bitterness on this thread, but not much flowing the other way.
