Turns8 How about this forgotten man......

JIMMY BULLARD

At Fulham been out with a broken leg....worth a shout...fits the Reading mould...young, quick etc...

Cruciate injury is what he had/has. Won't be back until next season and won't be leaving Fulham.

A left winger for central midfield. And you criticise my suggestions? At least I am naming players who are central midfielders.

Plays across the midfield and my mate who is a Forest fan reckons central midfield is his best position.

Well if your mate says so......

Just a shame that he is releatively untried and plays the majority of matches on the left wing....

Re: Bullard...

aren't we looking at next season! thought the transfer window was closed and we wouldn't be able to get anyone in until then anyway!

Who says he won't leave Fulham, especially if they go down and given that Al Fayed is looking at selling up!

I doubt they will but he would be a good purchase. I suspect that the bottom will end as 3 from Watford Wet Spam Chalrton and Sheffield Utd

papereyes Damian Francis - OK, might be turning into the next Nigel Quashie but he would do a very good job.

From what I have heard the Watford fans don't rate him at all, and if we are reduced to signing players like him we might as just give in now.....

He was good for Norwich in their promotion season and in the season following, and then good for Wigan last season (very good, iirc).

Bullard's going nowhere - but if Sanchez is at Fulham, I can see him going for Davis, freeing up Bullard to some extent.

Danns, Commons - no thanks.

I'm sure there's a decent midfielder at Birmingham City for when they fail to go up. Probably someone like Larsson, who is more a wide player.

Good point actually, Karacan is looking extremely promising.

Play Gunnar in midfield until Karacan is ready.

Right - that's all sorted then.

Let's just hope that SC reads this thread. ;-)

I'd really rather bring in someone as well. Worst case situation of losing Sidwell, Gunnarsson aging a year and noticably fades and Karacan not quite being be ready yet has to be covered.

I can see us looking abroad to some extent.

Flamini- £2m-£3m
Barnes-£6m
Bullard-£3m
O'neill-£3m
Davis-£1.5m

Thats probably what the clubs would ask for these players.

SC said he would leave sidwell out in a cuple of games because he needs to see how it is without him so we could see Gunnarsson and maybe even Karacan in the next few games.

*tries to think of other central midfielders in order to save money...*

Welll... Bikey could do the job, if all the CB's are fit. As could Oster.. although that will leave Harper caged again..

No you are right, we need a back-up CM. It's our position with the least proper cover.

I reckon he might try oster in the middle too. I think a midfield with Oster and Seoul would be far too weak though.
