1871 Royal Yeah very ideal seeing as Hughes is a winger and Sidwell plays in the center . Not to mention the fact that hes not very good.

Andy Hughes isn't anything other than shit. It's no coincidence that we finally got promotion to the Premiership the season after he left us after idiots on here were raving about his 'energy levels'. Paula Radcliffe's got just as good if not better energy levels than him but she's still shit at football.

What would Jimmy Bullard cost us?
He must have a get out clause if Fulham get relegated, his wages maybe a little high but we could sort that by giving him a chunky signing on fee.
The bloke fits the bill of the type of player we are after.

Arch
lozz2601 My vote goes to John Mackie.
Ideal injury cover.
We can count on him to come on here and do a good impression of a bad-tempered Norwegian?

I'm not even going to pretend I understand.

floyd__streete This Hughes knocking is a bit much isn't it? Perhaps we have become conceited with success but I always thought he was 100% effort and deserving of a place in the team in our of finishing 4th-9th in the Championship. Not that I would have him back of course, but mocking his efforts for us is a bit harsh I'd say :? .

I agree.

Its no surprise that when we put in a skillful left winger and didn't rely on his energy and his versatility, we did better.

But for three seasons, when we were in and around the play-offs most of the team, he did well in a good team.

Cureton would be an excellent 4th striker on a one year contract, he would jump at the chance to prove he could cut it in the Premiership, after all his old Bristol mate Jason Roberts, Reading0-6Bristol Rovers, Curo4, Roberts2), is doing OK at Wigan. A year of Curo would mean that Shane Long could have a full year on loan at a Championship side which would do him the world of good. Curo would thrive on our wingers and Sidwell/Gunnar/Harps, his last seasons at Reading were hampered due to the fact that he and Forster couldn't play together and Pardew liked the one striker setup too much. A Kits/Curo partnership could be worthwhile if either Doyle or Lita were unfit or in Lita's case suspended (or in jail).
