Good ol' Gordon....he has survived all that have come and gone for best part of 50 years

Interesting thing he said last night, first day as groundsman be was suppose to put pre season fertiliser on the pitch but instead put weed killer!!!

There was definately an incident like this in the 90's, but I don't know if it is the one that Gordon Neate was on about.

I remember this, killed all the grass so they then planted some quick growing stuff which couldn't be mown to soon in case it all got torn up again.

The first game of the season was home to Millwall and the grass was visably longer than normal.

Did well to avoid the sack for that.
