Hunt. 3 goals and 4 assists in 31 games says it all.

Not really. He is a left winger so it is his job to set up goals and score some as well.

It's a good record for someone who wasn't expected to even feature this season. 2 more goals than Fabregas and he's made his way into the PFA player of the year shortlist.

Hunt also works very hard every single game which few wingers do.

That is true and if there was an official club award for most improved player he would certainly win it, but there are other who have been better than him this season, in my opinion. Ingimarsson, Hahneman, Shorey and Doyle.

sonkoissuperman Ivar is average no way is he player of the season! yeah fair enough he done ok, but the outstanding player this year is clearly Shorey ! how can you argue against that? The bloke hasn't put a footy wrong this year and has played nearly every match! Second to that is Murty and surely these last past games without him has shown you that, he offers so much to the team going forword and defending! NO WAY on earth should this award be given to the average centre back whos only achivement is not getting injuryed ! so just get real !

Is this guy for real or fishing?

Ivar for me.
Reads the game so well and has spent all season covering Sonko and Bikey.
He may not have great pace but as with his fellow cool Icelandic,Bryn, makes up for that and more with his footballing brain.

Really 3 goals & 4 assists in 24 starts is a very good standard.
Gerrard, Giggs and Lennon are on 7 with a lot more starts.

Hunty gets my vote. Gave 100% every time he stepped foot on the pitch. Had to endure a torrid time with the cech incident but still put on some top class performances. Also the amount of goals he saved with his back tracking etc and considering he was on the bench last year he has stepped up the premiership standard with ease. Gets my vote.

After him would be shorey and inge.

Shorey. Aside from a blip just before Christmas he has consistently been very good indeed.

As for anyone who says Hunt, whilst his effort is exceptional and he has recently shown some genuine quality, he's more in the running for Man Utd's player of the year than ours.

Shorey. No question.

I think Ivar has played well, but agree that he has been responsible for a few goals conceded this season.

Top 3

Shorey
Sidwell
Harper

Murts on BBCRB phone in says:

1. Shorey
2. Hunt
3. Ingimarsson

he's wrong of course.

Don't forget to vote (for Ivar)

I would argue Shorey has had the odd off day this season, although I will not criticise him for that. As for you........

Ingi has suprised me this season as i thought he was one player that might struggle in the prem but he has been pretty assured. I still think that on occasions his man marking is a tad suspect though- im not convinced he will reproduce his form next season. I would go for Shorey 1st,Doyle 2nd,Hanehmann 3rd.

everyone voted?

Email vote by 10am on Tuesday morning, and voting slips will be available at the Newcastle game.
One lucky fan who votes will be randomly selected to help present the trophy on the Madejski Stadium pitch before the last home game against Watford on Saturday 5th May. I'd prefer the free Foster's for a year :D
