Player Ratings v Blackburn

by bassavage » 13 May 2007 19:56

Hahnemann 7 - Wasn't on for very long and was never properly tested.

De La Cruz 9 - My MOM, thought he was excellent in everything he did. Kept Pedersen quiet throughout and put in a great cross for Doyle's goal.

Shorey 8 - Another great performance. Unlucky not to score when he hit the post. Should have passed it to Lita late on but instead went for goal.

Duberry 5 - Felt he was the weak link at the back. Wasn't picking up his men for the 2nd and 3rd goals.

Ingimarsson 7 - Solid, probably our most consistent performer this season.

Seol 8 - Dangerous whenever he had the ball in the final third. Well taken header for his goal.

Hunt 6 - Lively but didn't really produce except for the corner for Seol's goal.

Harper 7 - Thought he was very good in centre midfield today, kept Tugay quiet.

Gunnarsson 8 - Couple of wayward passes but apart from that I thought he was excellent. Super finish for the goal.

Doyle 7 - Didn't get much of the ball but when he did he used it well.

Long 6 - Didn't have enough of the ball to be threatening.

Subs:

Federici 7 - Did well. Very nearly gave a goal away when he lost the ball but Blackburn couldn't get a decent ball in.

Lita 7 - Caused Blackburn's defence problems.

Oster 7 - Did well.

Wasn't there. Didn't watch it. Listened to it and sounded like Duberry had a shocker. Sound like Long didn't do much along with Doyle. Lita sounded dangerous when he came on.

How was Federici?

:? Sounded to me like Lita was his usual wasteful self, threatening without producing; funny what pictures we can generate in our minds from a radio commentary.

Wouldn't change one of those ratings BasMan - well on the money!

Liked it when Soulman switched wings after Osty came on - caused them havoc 1 on 1.

Half chance header for Leroy & poor shot from Hunt from the move of the game (which he started with a pass to Soulman who lasered it back to him) - either of those gone in and we'd be dreaming of Sealink duty frees!

Agree with the ratings totally!

It was the best I have seen of 'our Seol'

9 for Shorey???

He played pretty well, but was partly to blame for the last two goals - very unlucky not to score himself though.

Agreed with you Ginja,I would have given Shorey at best a 7 because he played the dreadful crossfield ball which led to one of their goals and ran back with Hunt for about 50 yards without tackling Emerton(?) who crossed for their other goal.
On the plus side it was a great shot that hit the post.

I thought Duberry did o.k and would have given a 6 or 7 and Hunty I would have given a 5 at best (it would have been less but for the corner that led to Seol's goal).
Lita caused problems for their defenders and won free-kicks (one of which led to a goal) whereas Shane Long just ran about-as has been said many times on here that boy needs regular football at a lower level.
DLC was outstanding IMHO and must have been man of the match.

Yesterday's Daily Sport had Hahnemann's rating as five and voted him as dog turd or something equally offensive. I rolled my eyes at this ignorant conclusion, wondered if they knew he had been injured and had to go off early in the game.
