You simply can't make that comparison.
IMO Doyle is an out-and-out striker, whereas Rooney and Van Persie are not. So I'd expect Doyle to get more than them TBH.

I don't believe that anyone could say Doyle is an out and out striker. He does most of his work outside the box in holding up the ball and running down the channels.

It is very unlikely that Doyle will get 20 next season for 2 reasons.

1) Very few strikers get 20 a season in the premiership especially allowing for squad rotation and injury.

2) Our style of play is more condusive to the strikers getting a split of goals between them if this season is anything to go by, especially as we had 3 strikers playing well unlike Chelsea who just had the 1 striker and most of the play was geared around him.
