Trev, if you hear anything about dates and locations for the Reading games please post as soon as you see it !
I'd hope we'll get some info from Reading in the next few days but my initial investigations into flights show that exact dates are going to be crucial in terms of cost and availability of flights....

I will do Behindu. I probably won't hear before you though as all my information comes from the internet. Though a few teachers at my school know about the peace cup so i'll ask them.

Tournament starts on July 12th but no news on when we play.
I'm thinking if I try and get there on the 11th and stay for 5 days I should get 3 games in somehow !

What sort of prices have you come up with? I had a little go with a few random dates and couldn't get anything for less than £550. There were a couple of flights where only business class appeared to be available at £865 one way

Suggest you put 'Korean travel agents New Malden' , or its like, into Google. There are several travel agents supporting the local community and no doubt one could help out.

BA seem to have some at £350 ish one way but then return dates come in at £1000 !

Got a few ideas for other options (looking at flying to HK and then a local flight from there) and I believe there is a possibility of a package being put together (Nigel Gibbs owns a travel agency) but suspect it might not suit my needs

Just found this on dialaflight

Best Priced Flights to Seoul
Our Best Flight Fare from GATWICK to SEOUL is from £330 + £48 tax (Total £378) flying with Qatar Airways. Leaving on 11 July 2007, and returning from Seoul on 16 July 2007.

If I can get a flight that suits my dates/match dates for that sort of money I will be going

Worrying inclusion of the little word 'from' there !

KLM seem to be about £500

The New Malden option may be a good one...

Suwon - 20 miles from Seoul, so head for Seoul and presumably train out to the game ?

Boys I'll put up the details of our Korean travel agents a bit later on who are based in New Malden
They'll be able to get a better deal

Doubt it, can see no reason why clubs should fly half way round the world and then field their reserves. Almost certainly they will be contracted not to.

Mind you I couldn;t name a single Lyon or River Plate player so would have no idea anyway !

Sorry flippant remark, all clubs will play a mix of reserve and first team players during the group stages at the very least. You wouldn't play your best players in 3 games close together in those conditions in what is to all intents and purposes a few friendlies.
