Coppell for England

by Downtown Dave Town » 01 Jun 2007 21:20

Now that Shorey has made his first appearance for England tonight after our campaign last season to make it happen, I feel we should start another one this season.

My personal feeling is that we should try and get Coppell to replace McClaren.

1. There's no way Coppell would be stupid enough to want the England job.
2. There's no way we'd want to lose him, what a stupid idea.

It's not a 'Coppell' job. He hates the media and the way people are put under pressure in football. There is absolutely no way he'd take that job. Shame for England, great for us. 8)

I suggest you campaign for Lita, Kitson, Harper and Little before Coppell. He certainly won't thank you if he gets the poisoned chalice that is the England job and nor will we.

McCain came out with a "Daddy or Chips" ad some years ago.
I can feel a "Reading or England" poll coming on.

For me Reading wins every time.
Hands off Coppell - he's ours!
