Cisse is presumably a Gunnarsson successor/competitor. With a Sidwell replacement that would give us some fairly good options across the middle with:

Harper, Cisse, Gunnarsson, New Sidwell, Oster, Bikey, Halford(?), Ivar

He is an option there, well down the list but an option nonetheless.

Only really in the same way Hunt is an option, or Karacan is an option, and probably less so.
Not only is he key in another position he's not played in midfield for years (has he ever played there for us ?)

forgot the question mark... he can play there, but I personally wouldn't want him there unless it was an emergency

Brynjar scored with a header tonight against Liechtenstein and looked decent through the game. Ivar though is to blame for the equaliser after some really sloppy defending.

Me too, I also used to say Murty should play at right wing.... but then we signed Glenn Little.... although Greg Halford and Murty on the right may be worth trying in preparation for the next time Little's out injured.

Bryn has been great for us, but I don't think we'll see as much of him next season as we did this.
Cisse and another to arrive could just mean Gunnarsson remains a bit part player.
