I predict we will pip Chelsea for the title on goal difference after thumping Derby 8-0 on the last day of the season. Kevin Doyle's hattrick in the last 15 minutes also dents Derby's hope of qualifying for the Champions League as they are pushed down into the UEFA cup spots.

Royalee Absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to predict the league table for next season without delaying this until the beginning of August by which time about three or four signings will have been brought in by each club on average. At the moment I'd have us in the bottom half, but I believe we'll bring in some players between now and the start of the season.

Agreed

I might just say Reading to finish bottom 3 to spark outrage in this thread

Well done. The only person so far putting the correct amount of UEFA Cup qualifers. Everyone else assumes that the FA Cup will be contested by 2 of the top 4 again. (Which of course it might be... but isn't it about time we won that?)

Football moves at one hundred miles an hour, if teams stand still then they fall.

How any fan can think we can qualify for europe is a twat.

Although someone predicting we will be relegated has probably just trumped that....
I'd agree Europe would be a huge achievement but what the link between teams standing still and us getting relegated is beats me....

I think he means if we don't bring in top quality players, like the other teams, then the side we had last year (minus Sid) just won't "cut the mustard" and I tend to agree. However, it's early days and a couple of good signings will change some people's minds.

Good predictions although being the poster of this post i feel it is a bit to early to predict. As we should be due some good signings.

No, he got it wrong too by forgetting about the League Cup winners, unless everyone else put the tips for the cups down as UEFA qualifiers.

Lets be realistic, whats the odds of either cup winner coming fom outside the top 6?

I am naturally worried about the new season, and would be very happy with midtable. Plus a Cup win 8) .

One encouraging thing is the plethora of teams who will be down there in all probability:

Brum
Derby
Wigan
Fulham
Boro
City

and maybe teams such as Sunderland, Bolton and Everton.
