And maybe Hunt too....

Stephen Hunt is set to sign a new, improved Royals contract

The 25-year-old midfielder's impressive first Premiership season has seen linked with a move away from the Madejski Stadium this summer.

The Republic of Ireland international however has decided to extend his stay with Reading, which began with a move from Brentford in the summer of 2005.

Great news, Harps and Ingi are a major part of the team while Long has huge potential and hopefully he'll live up to it.

And hard to see how he will be able to grab that chance....

If he does then he'll have had a season to compare with Doyle's 2 years ago and Hunt's last year.

If he does that means our other strikers are playing sh*t. half of me hopes he gets his chance and the other half hopes he doesn't. Another good year in the reserves or on loan I think.

great comments from the lads on the OS
long on how much he loves it here, ivar on how he never wanted to go anywhere else, and harps about kissing the lads......

also hammond on being prepared to spend big on the right players
a couple of signings to make people sit up and say "thats fantastic"
but only if they want to come here
