brighton_royal Sounds potentially bad, may be a disc problem in his back causing pressure on his sciatic nerve. Hope not.

This may be true because it is just something innocent which would cause the disc to go, but Leroy would have to have taken a substatial knock on the back for this to occur at such a young age

From The Fiver:

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"It is not an injury that should be ridiculed or made light of" - Reading manager Steve Coppell struggles to keep a straight face while explaining that tranquil penalty expert Leroy Lita suffered a serious nerve knack while he was in bed.

Archies Volley offical text service says "...picked up a nerve injury and will be monitored over the coming days. He was unable to train on Monday and will be looked at ahead of the Utd game" doesnt sound too bad :?

The RFC medical team are great at giving us accurate injury results!

I understand it's a difficult subject and you can never be 100% correct but they are normally out by months and months. Sonko, Kitson, Little, Mr RFC, etc, etc. We've always had a management team that say two weeks when it reality it's 3 months.

The big surprise was Marcus .... they actually got that one right!

Norfolk Royal
Stranded According to the EP, he injured himself stretching in bed - is probably a trapped or detached nerve. Could well miss Sunday but not overly serious though he found it hard to walk yesterday.

Bed can be a dangerous place.

'Doyle on the right wing', 'Doyle playing in the hole'.

This injury, my fellow nobbers, is why signing no strikers since we reached the Premiership has been a foolish move.

As much as I like Shane Long, he isn't yet Premiership standard, and yet we go into our opening game with Long as backup striker.

He scored twice against Man Utd last season and against Chelsea. Hope it's not an omen for the rest of the season......... :(

I'd sooner Leroy missed the Man Utd game than say the Everton or West Ham game. Tis no problem.
