"Though he has already signed another left-back, Grag Halford, from Reading for £2.5m, Keane has long been determined to bring in Baines."

Not even our player any more but it still makes me mad!

pictures in the post today of the Didcot game surprised me, apparently Simon Cox as an uncanny ability to change colour
that could cause confusion in opposition defences

Surely time for this thread to get unsticked and fall away in the yellow pages of HNA history?

Had its use IMO.

Dave Bessent (think thats his name) claims on SSN that Sidwell was our player of the season this year. Presumably the only Reading player he knows.

I think you mean Dave Bassett, but it's not him anyway. You can tell Dave Bassett by the way he talks. He talks really really fast and shouts everything, and doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about. But that clip makes me spit every time they play it. HE WASN'T EVEN IN THE TOP 3!!! He wasn't even player of the season in our championship winning season FFS.

Poor Ivar, Sidwell always got called Vice-Captain as well.

PS. This thread should never be unsticked, the better we get, the more amusing the stories.

Shorey named as our longest serving player in The Sun today, I'm sure Murty would have something to say about that.

 what sort of media do we have here? Next thing you know, we'll wake up and find ourselves being a non-league team in some stupid papers like the Sun, Mirror and News of The WorlOLD.

Actually it looks like they haven't updated that for years. West Brom are in the Prem and Leeds in the Championship.

With the new Coke football competition you can register on the website as a supporter of every English and Scottish team except Reading. Rangers get two listings instead...

I'm sure it was all fine last week...

It's pretty obvious that they haven't updated the leagues from a couple of years ago. Have a look through all of them and see how many discrepancies you can find. Go on, it'll be fun.

On the bright side, it looks like we're just about to have an amazing record breaking season! Don't miss out on any of the matches is my advice (apart from maybe the first one, and one about 34 games later...).

I noticed the name MIRTY going across the screens with the team lineups on in the concourse at Old Trafford before the game, didn't show the first names but it probably would have been Gary if they did.

I'm pretty sure his name came up as Grahame Murty when the line-ups were shown on the screen just before kick off.

The new guy on Gillette Soccer live game feed thingy on Sky Sports News.

Last night, while talking about the Chelsea game, mentioned that Bikey was involved in the incident with the number two Chelsea goal keeper last season.

I'm sure that was Sonko!
