Injuries ?

I've never known a start of season like it. Does anyone think this is pure bad luck, or does anyone think the club got the pre-season wrong this year ?

If they'd got the injuries in pre-season or in the first game there may have been something in it. However, it's just bad luck.

Platypuss If they'd got the injuries in pre-season or in the first game there may have been something in it. However, it's just bad luck.

I guess it's true there isn't a lot you can do about 'impact injuries' but during the last five years or so we've been told that our good injury record was down to the stella work of Nial Clarke and the superior conditioning of our players.

Now we're not doing so well with injuries is it all down to luck again?

Paul Turner isn't back at the club is he?

Hamstring pull, going for a scan today. Probably 4 weeks at most, if it's not too bad a pull.

Seol, dare I say it, could be a big loss, if his injury is a long one. I think I read somewhere that Fae played for the Ivory Cost on right wing? I like Oster, I think he has something different to offer, but he's not all that effective on the wing.

I'd rather have Oster than Seol on the right at the moment. De La is a very worthy replacement for Murts, but we could do without any more injuries and suspensions at the reebok...

Does someone have a link to a summary of the injuries so far? Duberry, Murty, Hunt (not serious), Lita, Seol, Oster and ? Who am I forgetting? Any timelines on how long each will be out?

We have had to play 3 games in a week though.

You can't deny that pre-season was significantly different this season with the trip to the Peace Cup and a lack of an experienced Sports Scientist overseeing the physical conditioning.

We've got injuries spilling over from last season and a few more knocks etc arising from the first week than I can remember over the last few years.

Maybe it just highlights what a good job was done in the past by Clarke and more recently Goodman.

Such a shame that the lack of depth in the squad means all these injuries have impacted both performances and results....

It also helps that we include the likes of Kanu, Brown and Bygrave in there whereas most other teams seem to only include first teamers.
