Mr Loyal Royal It's never going to happen... well not in any of our lifetimes

I plan to be around for another 30 or 40 years.

I guarantee the title will be won by someone in that time that currently would seem unimaginable.

May as well be us....

Anything is possible.

I like to think that we are creating a new style of financial and football management at the moment that illustrates that you don't HAVE to spend huge bucks to succeed.

I do appreciate it is early days but great things can be achieved with lesser known players providing their attitude, integrity, organisation and commitment are better than everyone else's.

On the Bundesliga thread on GF papereyes posted links to a series of articles that, if you have the time, are well worth reading.

Fantasy? Well maybe, but I'd put Reading, Madejski and Coppell up against Freiburg, Stocker and Frinke any day!

Very interesting............ Coppell is our Finke. We would need Coppell to stay with us for 16 years.

I'd get very very drunk....and probably cry.

Bit like after the Leicester game in fact!

Royal Rother What would you do?

I hereby confess that I at first read the thread title as "...whom would you do?"

Those think pieces over at S*ccernet of the kind linked above are generally outstanding --a real education, at least for me. Check out Phil Ball, the guy who reports from Spain, next time you're tooling thru the site.

None of this answers the original question. In time, I'll think of someone.

Tell the person infront of me to sit down, then report them to the nearest steward and have their details taken.

I would reflect sadly that it would not mean automatic promotion to the breakaway Barclays mega franchise league that Man Ure, Cheatski, Arse**l, Liv'pool and Wet Sham play in.

Given the way I felt went Murty was about to take his penalty I imagine I wouldn't be around to experience it. Having your heart explode is not conducive to good health.

Otherwise, I'd pinch myself lots, drink plenty of champagne, have a bloody good cry, a bit of a shout and dance around like a maniac for at least half an hour.

Then I'd get down to the serious business of gloating.

Hook Royal, could you explain to me why those gargantuan teams Brighton and Saints are not in the new mega League?

I would wear my plastic replica shirt to work for a month straight. And bring up Reading FC as often as I could. When waiting for the elevator, waiting to cross the street, when telemarketers call and when people knock on my door wanting to sell something.

Ask the nurse to wheel me into the garden so that I could sit in the shade of my favourite tree, looking back over the 50 years or so since we had first reached the Premier League, and eagerly anticipating my e-telegram from the King.

I really don't know. As I would never prepare myself for it.

Winning the Championship was realistic, well not the way we did it, but I could imagine what it would be like. This would be un-prepareable!

I'd congratulate Mourinho for winning the Prem again.

In the style of that Fast Show character, I would probably have to proclaim 'oh, sorry, I've just cum'.
