Perhaps they were showing their support of the 1988 olympics?

From the Fulham message board:

"
Liam will give everything for you and you can expect total commitment from him. Many of us are sad to see him go, but i can see why Laurie has let him go. His displays last year were full of effort, but his passing game was woefull, he couldn't seem to pass a ball 5 yards and to often just thumped it long. This may have been instructions from Coleman but it made him look poor. However never did he hide and was always wanting the ball. I think the change will do him good and it will turn out to be a big loss for us. As for Seoul we will have to wait and see he looks a good player and obviously Sanchez sees him as someone to fit into our new style of play. Good luck Liam and Good Luck Reading, hope you survive second season syndrome."

and

"
im very dissapointed with the deal, my mates from reading couldnt wait to see the back of seol. which speaks volumes.

rosenior will be a great player for youthere is no doubt about it, his expierience from last season will make him significantly better.

you have definatley got a good young, hard working prospect.

we have a player who is lazy and is only up for 1 game in 4 (probably against the top 5)

i wish rosenior all the best for the future, and really hope seol sorts himself out. "

Sounds good to me :-)

I have Seol on the back of my home shirt. It was bought at the beginning of last season before I realised what a lazy lump of shite he really was. Still glad to see the back of him!

Personally I havent really rated Rosenior at all when I have seen him play as he makes sloppy mistakes. Hopefully Coppell is looking to play him further forward as he does have decent pace which is one thing we dont have on the right wing.

As for being light on wingers, yes we are, but I cant see why we cant play either Bobby or Hunt on the right. Many a time during a game they swap flanks and Bobby has a huge tendancy not to go passed his man and to cut in on his right foot anyway and come through the middle, so he must be fairly two footed.

Rawlie19 And the plus, any sell-on fee we had with Wolves for Sulky is now... MURKED! 10% of 0 = ...

We'll really be in the shit though if Wolves want their 10% and lop off Roseniors right foot!!

No problem there is a very good female barrister called Portia who works in the courts in Venice ,she won a case against an old jewish money lender in a similar case.

But others also say Rosenior was a 'woeful passer of the ball', but always gave 110%...

I personally think he has always looked half decent, but based of views from Fulham fans. Is he the next Andy Hughes as he was truly woeful, but always tried???

Step son has Seol if that's any help. In fact, I suspect Lita will be on his way in January, as other son has home and away shirt with his name on. He had a McIntyre shirt about 2 weeks before Jimmy moved on and the name of another player before that, can't for the life of me remember who, who also disappeared shortly after we got the name printed on his shirt.

Can I persuade you to get an Oster shirt for January?

Surprised no-one has mentioned Seol's fitness problems here. I went to bed at 11.00 last night thinking there was a real chance he would fail his medical and it would fall thru.

He has back problems currently and I reckon much of the decline in form we have all seen is down to his less than full fitness / protecting his underlying physical problems.

Another reason why this was a good swap really though I remain concerned that we now dont have a fit, or long term, right winger....

Not much flesh on a right foot (or left for that matter)

More views from a Fulham fan from the vitalfootbsll site.

It was always a good bet that as the transfer window prepared to slam shut there`d be a few movements out of Craven Cottage!

Unfortunately, I`d hoped that the departure of Liam Rosenior wouldn`t be one of them. Deep down I hoped that Lawrie Sanchez and Liam would get together and get to the crux of the problem that has seen Liam go from hero to zero in the eyes of the managerial team at Craven Cottage.

Last season Liam could do no wrong, he was an ever-present in the Fulham eleven, this season a sighting of Liam on first team duty has been about as often as us winning an away game. Whether it was simply down to the fact that Sanchez didn`t rate Liam or whether there had been some sort of altercation between the two, it`s always hard to accept the sale of a home grown prospect that has come up through the ranks and also managed to reap U21 honours.

The fact that he`s gone to Reading also grates. If I were speaking from the heart, I wouldn`t rate them as superior to us. Sure they might have finished higher than us, they might have a spanking new ground but traditionally we`re viewed as a bigger club. Well that`s what I`m trying to convince myself. In reality and speaking from the head, I`m probably grasping at straws. Reading are where we`d hoped to be, comfortable in the knowledge that Premier League survival isn`t really a worry, content that their ground is almost spanking new and content that they have a manager they are totally at ease with.

Yesterday I ruffled a few feathers with a couple of articles that you, our readership, were quick to pick up on. I`d dare to suggest that I was seriously worried about our Premier League future but in all honesty I was only commenting on the result of the polls. It was implied, that by reading your comments, that you were happy with the style of football we were playing, that Lawrie Sanchez had started to get the team to play more attractive football than we`d seen for a fair while. They were all good points.

This morning my faith in Sanchez remains as I`ve stated before, I`m sat on the fence (in true Trevor Brooking style) mulling over the pro`s and con`s of just where we are. With the news that Liam has departed I`m starting to err towards a negative attitude with regard to Sanchez, I`m not convinced we`re moving forward, swapping Liam Rosenior for Seol Ki-Hyeon hasn`t pacified me!

It does seem Sanchez and Rosenoir had a fall-out and that we have benefitted. Judging by the massive influx of players Sanchez did not rate the squad he inherited. They were lucky to survive last season courtesy of a Liverpool second 11

Interesting views here. Think we've done well out of this.

The first one doesn't. We lose a winger and get someone who spent last season practising the long ball game! HOOF! :(

RG30 Glen Little is still limping about badly, he was in my place of work today.
Did he have a Big Mac or Chicken McNuggets?

Barry the bird boggler
PEARCEY Interesting that NH said West Ham made the bid a week ago and did not make another offer after that. I find it hard to understand that at £4 million it was a sensible bid. NH also described Rosenoir as a typical Reading player(or words to that effect)....he said that about Halford as well. He also sees Rosenoir as a midfielder/defender so the right wing theory may hold true although Doyle out wide and Lita/Kitson upfront as Platypus says offers an alternative.
I hope Seol does well at Fulham. He did not let us down.

Has JM done the bit about how this deal shows ambition and that we mean business yet?

Also can we nickname Mr RoSENIOR Trevor? Otherwise it would get confusing what with Lita also being called Leroy (no I couldn't have handled Dennis M and Dennis G Butler back in the 70s).

Shouldn't prove to much of a problem, what with it being LIAM Rosenior and all!!

Rosenior interview:

"We'd been talking a while and I'm delighted it's happened.

"We waited until two hours before the deadline, it was nerve-wracking, but it's gone through. The chairman has been fantastic, the manager has been so welcoming and I'm looking forward to playing for the Club. It was easy to get everything done because it feels like a perfect fit for me. Players say that, and it sounds like a cliché, but it's definitely true. There were definitely no second thoughts, I just want to go out there and repay the faith shown in me by the manager, Nick Hammond, Brian McDermott and everyone.

"Right back is my position, but I can play right mid, left back, centre mid. At Bristol City I played up front, and I kept Leroy out of the team but he won't admit that! I can play anywhere, as long as I'm out on that pitch.

Do you not think we've come to the stage where we really need to start playing people in their natural positions? Have we learned nothing?
