as I said before, decisiveness, determination and confidence were what was lacking, not passion and not quality.

His favourite band is Counting Crows. How sophisticated is that?

And you know I thought he would have said, Flogging Molly

Or the Dropkick Murphys.

Jeffers217 cor dear- Hunt is shocking, he is totally out of his depth in this league. I'd prefer Oster on the right. And afraid to say it but the team lacks a certain central midfielder- I think we have the worst centrel midfield in the leage

Did anyone read the Times on Saturday morning? [15th Dec 07]
They reckon Keano is preparing a bid for Hunt, "he's just the sort of player we need for the fight ahead"

He has his admirers doesn't he?

I'm not sure that Keane's judgement of players to sign has yet been proven.

O.k I'll give you that one but he did cost £6 million and Craig Gordon £9million.
See how good some of the others are next Saturday and in particular McShane who is IMHO one of the worst players in the Premiership and wouldn't even get into Derby's side.
Cue Man of the match performance next week.

McShane stood out as dreadful in the Everton match, together with his mate Higginbotham.
But Higginbotham was a star yesterday, so who can tell what that proves?

If you want a striker that refuses to pass to his team mates at any opportunity, then yes.

Did you not see any of the games McShane played for West Brom last season?
I don't want to say any more about this player or else Sod's Law he will have the one game of his life on Saturday.

I thought McShane was quite good last season but may have been found out this.

Jones v Sonko - Sonks will need to morph from Mr Kent this week. Jones took us to the cleaners at the Stadium of Light.

Hi BR2
I guess you'll say McShane had a stonkingly good season with WBA. I felt they were desperately unlucky not to win the play-off, they outplayed Derby for seriously long spells.

I was trying to defend Keano's judgement after the news of his interest in Stephen Hunt leaked out.

I thought he was poor for West Brom and I think it was more a case of the Irish/Man Utd connection that took him to Sunderland.
He looks to me like one of those players always making last ditch tackles like Sonko did on Torres a week ago Saturday-these often look better than they are but only happen because the defender has cocked up in the first place and is desperate to make up for his mistake.
Better not to cock up in the first place IMHO.

Hunt is grafter who also scores goals in the best league in the World.
Who wouldn't want to have him in their team?
