One Goalkeeper, a decent right midfielder (Say a Glen Little of ten years ago) and a defensive midfielder and the Royal Train rejoins the premier railway again.
Its not all doom and gloom the Spurs game is simple, we lack the players above but by christ we can attack and certain Reading players are on fire.
USA is not the commanding beast of old and needs to earn his place again.Lets all stick together back the boyz and.......

You see the spine of our squad and while a little thin the base for quality is there.

Kits and Doyle are the makings of a top partnership. Fcuk Sherringham Kit's looked like Van Basten at times yesterday (we'll just ignore those 2 one on ones!!).

We know what Hunt does, I trust Harper will produce when he play with a partner of Sid quality, rather than what he's plaed with so far this season.

Sonks doesn't look like Sonks of last season, but that might just take time. Keeping hold of Shorey is so important, his set pieces where great again yesterday and he's starting to look like the player who got in the England team. Might have something to do with the time of year though.

We add a centre mid and right wing in Jan, a centre half and GK in the summer, maybe a full back, although I'd like to see Rosenior at right back. We start to look very strong.

The key is we actually sign players who improve the starting 11 though and not the average squad players we've signed since promotion.

People have got to get over the fact that wanting to see us sign new players, isn't a great insult to what we've already achieved. While I agree with Andrew's sentiments, you can't stand still at this level....

I was a little surprised to see that DLC was on the bench ahead of Rosenior at Spurs.

Does this mean that he's slipping further down the pecking order the longer he's here?

When some of you have stopped crying over your bowl of milk.

SC's Royals style of play is what's commonly known as ' Having a Go ',
Not playing ' Panda ' football, soft goals from Spurs, not to mention the
'Don't Argue' on Ingar for Berbs last were piss poor, but counter attacking
produces that sort of #*%$@#@^&*.....

All I'de like to see is keep possession more instead of boot & hope, and for
puks sake somebody teach the corner takers how to land the ball on the centre spot every time, at least a 50-50 ball, possession, possession, possession.

Hoping for a Reading FC legend to be unearthed in the near future.

To think all those people who said what a great winger Rosenior would be. Funny that.

I guess it's the same situation as with Fae. Coppell just don't rate him.

Official site suggests Shorey was ill in the run up to the game and they were half expecting DLC to play at left back.
In the event Shorey played and DLC was on the bench. I guess DLC is regarded as a better left back than Rosenior.
Hal Robson - Kanu was on standby for a place on the bench if Shorey had not played and DLC had moved up to the starting X1.
