For even having a thread with this title is a demise of our football club. A disgrace. An act of petulence and should quite frankly be brought to justice. If your a STH, your ST should be removed. If your an exile, you should move further away. If your a plastic, your plastic status should be melted. Goodnight.

Coppelled Streets
North Somerset Royal Therefore if JM wants to survive in the Prem he has to bring in someone else immediately however painful that is.

If JM wants to survive in the Prem he should make the money available to the manager so he CAN bring the right players to the club and not just the ones he can get on a shoe string budget.

We should have been competing for the Wayne Routeledge's, Gary Cahill's, James McFadden's, Phil Bardesley's.

In that lot are two quality defenders, an experienced Premiership right winger and a winger/striker in McFadden. All would have done just nicely int he transfer window and all within that so called warchest of ours that Hammond bleated on about, in fact I seem to recall the mad man saying the money is there for the right players. Clearly that lot are the wrong players!

How do you know the money isn't there?

Obviously we're not going to compete for the top bracket of players but I agree we should aim for the type of player you've suggested. The thing is it seems like we haven't even though it seems the money is there.

Coppell has said he's got the money to spend but he's happy with what we've got.

As for sacking Coppell....that's just stupid.

He'll probably leave in the summer either way, especially if he doesn't have the budget to rebuild the side as you seem to suggest.

Dirk Gently If you know anything at all about Reading FC and JM, surely it's obvious to you that it'll be Kevin Dillon? Or maybe joint magagers Dillon & Downes. Cheap and a known quantity.

The thought of Kevin Dillon taking charge of our 2008/9 Championship campaign fills me delight

If it's that obvious, why didn't he do it when Pardew left?

And Dillon was awful when he was in charge for that small stint, and Wally was shocking at Brentford.

Great plan.

For what it's worth, when I heard the team for Bolton last week it was exactly the side I would have picked (apart from perhaps Murty). So in my opinion, the players need to take the bulk of the responsibility for that debacle, not Coppell.

WHO WOULD BE.....

by IMAMATEOFJOVSKY » 22 Feb 2008 19:35

a suitable and realistic replacement for Coppell if he were to step down ( lets hope not anyway)

two names for me would be

Gary Johnson
Gus Poyet

any others to add to the pot?
