Archie's penalty
Chuckle Brother If I was him I'd actually have gone even further. I'd have said that since he has been in the team the strikers are not intelligent enough or don't have good enough movement to enable him to play the clever passes that are what we are missing this season. Meaning he has to try passes that really aren't on meaning he is giving the ball away more than he would like.

Pretty harsh CB.

Think Doyle makes pretty good runs.

They can't be that good though being as he hasn't scored since December and before last week none of our strikers had scored this year.

I can't deny that. MM is obviously complaining a little bit though. When has he created a cast-iron goal-scoring opportunity for us?

He hasn't. Mainly because the strikers are not making runs in to the right areas for him to pass to.

The fact the free kick was to Oster means the use of the word "clever" is innacurate.

Thou Voice
SpaceCruiser It is possible to seem to be doing nothing when you're doing a lot of observing and thinking.

Your comment about Coppell being quiet just confirms that you are indeed SDR.

What!!!

No I am not SDR, it was mentioned in a previous attack on my fine character that I was as he used to use nicnames and one called The Quiet One was mentioned, I did consider the Quiet Balding Guy, but that didn't have the same ring to it.

One day, SDR whoever he is will come back and post and you will all see that you are so wrong and I'll be doing my victory dance, oh yes.

Purely out of interest...why the crusade against the 'Balding Guy?' Did he run over your dog or something? Even a total moron can see he's a superb manager, admittedly he's not been at his best this season but then give me a shortlist of better alternatives.

Thou doth protest too much!

Just watched footytube MOTD highlights. Matejovsky's passes and skill looked really nice there. It made him look really effective and I don't remember that being the case when watching the match...

Reading boss Steve Coppell was unimpressed by Marek Matejovsky's comments this week about his strikers being too selfish and the manager swanning around training doing nothing

Coppell said: "I walk around and don't do anything do I? I've been a manager for 25 years yet, amazingly, people still employ me.

"I won't be having a word with him though. He is learning English at a rapid rate of knots and I can only assume he was mis-quoted.

"I've always said there are too many foreigners in our game. But I'm as guilty as anyone for signing them."

Did he really say that last quote? Or is that a joke?

The article itself is no big deal. It's what happens when a team is feeling desperate. Our strikers (barring the now absent Lita) aren't intrinsically overly selfish.

About bloddy time too

Sidwell used to crack off at least a couple each game (some hit the net, most didn't)...............Matty is a great play breaker (just like Sidders), but my only critisism of him has been his reluctance to have a shot..............

Cut the verbal bullsh1t.........just do it
