I've always been a massive Hunt fan. Was delighted when he signed his new contract ending the speculation.

But since he's signed that contract he's not looked the player who was our shinning light during the earlier part of the season.

I'm begining to worry his weaknesses are being exposed.

Thank God for Stephen Hunt. AP wtf has happened to you this season?

OK he is not Ronaldo, but we are (sort of, often with luck etc etc) safe-ish now and yet you are still unremittingly and humourlessly negative.

Have you got a girlfriend?

So, after 8 successive losses we now have 1 defeat in 5 games, including 3 clean sheets and we have threads today moaning about Doyle, Hunt and now even Shorey; doubtless there will be a post later on about the IMPoster and our Balding Guy who can't manage for toffee, but I wonder how many more negative threads / posts will be up before the post-mortem today has ended.

I find it a bit sad to be honest that people would still, even now, with safety beckoning, find reason to be negative about our players.

agreeing with RR is not good for one's popularity, but spot on.

LOL at the expectations on here.

Popularity is way over-rated I'm told.

yappy I think Hunty is probably most effective as an impact player, as he was in the CCC. In the promotion season he always used to come on with 20 to go and most games he'd pick up an assist. He can be a real handful for tired defences.

Was he any good that season? I think last year was his show season.

Alan Partridge Utterly atrocious footballer.

That is all.

And allegedly now our highest-paid player.
We have been saying this for months AP and now at least some are seeing the light.
The shame is that there are no challengers for his position.
As in the days of Andy Hughes (another player who prompted reactions that were poles apart)we are doing o.k DESPITE Hunt not because of him.
Who knows,if we had a decent left winger or left-sided midfielder we might not have had a relegation battle at all.
BTW a very important and well deserved point today-it could even have been 3 points but the result (bearing in mind Marcus' excellent performance) was about right.

Because a number of the team were below par today. Those that played well deserve credit and are getting it on here but others Hunty included were off colour today. Its not a hanging offence and over the course of the season he has done well which is what matters but he was poor today and some of us are saying that BUT also appreciative of the likes of USA and Bikey who both had great games.

I know this doesn't prove anything, but he is our second highest scorer this season.

come off it, it might be your view, but the anti-Hunt posts on here are not just saying that.

Royal Rebel OK Hunty may not have been at his best today but Oster was awful. Can the man cross a ball ? Three corners and not one of them got beyond the first man.Truely pants !

if you keep saying it enough times you migt actually believe that shit..why don`t you take off those stupid blinkers and see the good things he did today.

Well said Chaney. Oster was unlucky to be subbed and even though I am not a fan of his I reckon he deserves to stay in the side. It was good to hear some Johnny Oster chants today as well....he is slowly turning some of the supporters around. Good luck to him.

On a general basis though, Oster always makes mistakes, Hunt does but fewer.
People are making an awful lot of assumptions based on one game.

I'll explain my previous post in more detai for you seeing as you are quite clearly educationally subnormal.

You think Hunt is shit, is not a FACT and no amount of typing it in caps lock at the end of the sentence makes it one.

see if you can spot the two facts and the one opinion.

Hunt plays football for Reading FC this season.
Hunt played against Blackburn Rovers today.
Hunt has stupid hair.

I certainly don't need to be at a game to know the difference between a fact and an opinion. I can also formulate a reasonably informed opinion based on previous performances and listening to the radio comentary.
