Victor Meldrew Anybody know if Harry Ramsden's that was,by Whitley Wood Road is open on a Sunday?
If so I'll follow my usual awayday routine of dropping my brother off in Reading and then scoffing haddock and chips before yet another hour and a half of driving back down south.

By then I will either have put the events of the day in perspective or start to wonder if there is any point in following a team where the chairman lies about extending the ground, the manager vows to buy players(4 or 5) in January, all of which would not be foreign, and ends up buying er...just 2,both of whom are foreign, and the club gives it's biggest contract ever to a player who would struggle to get a game for Accrington Stanley.

Being a forgiving soul I'll probably be getting ready to renew the home and away season ticket by the time I get to the outskirts of Bournemouth and remind myself that the local club will be playing in the 4th division next season possibly with a 15 point deduction so things really aren't that bad.
If the chippy isn't open I'll probably hang myself.

I've got some spare rope lying around if you need it Victor

Thanks for the offer Pearcey but I remain hopeful that Pompey (great value with the bookies at just over 5/2) will beat Fulham and Birmingham won't beat Blackburn so it might wel be a case of us ONLY needing to get a win or draw at Derby.
If we don't do that then we fully deserve to be relegated.

Sulk for a while, get the p1ss taken out of me at work. Look forward to an extra eight games. Wonder how far Carlisle is (play-offs dependant). Look forward to Murts' testimonial, most of all be slightly relieved that there will be no more over paid prima-donnas eating the Mad Stad turf.

If you can pretend that I am Orthodox Jewish and the body has to be buried within 24 hours preferably with my mum and dad at the cemetry on Henley Road you can have the car-my family will then be able to say "that's what he would have wanted" and they would save on the cost of the funeral.
On the other hand Reading might win at Derby and Fulham might not win at Pompey- I'll probably be so elated that I could have a heart attack and die so the above might still apply.

I'll have to explain it at least 15 times to my wife over the next few weeks. Bless her.

Carry on as usual. Look forward to the fixture lists. Depending on whether I get a job, buy an ST and continue my support.

the Cottagers have never won a top-flight match at Portsmouth in their history.

I think we'll win and Fulham will fail to win.

So we stay up.

Easy peasy.

Fulham in good form
Pompey not in good form and have a Cup Final next week

I think both Reading and Fulham will win.

It is four points for a win, right?
