papereyes
Huntley & Palmer
mathematically_safe With the parachute payments kicking in you've got a couple of attempts at getting back up by outspending those around you

Probably the most key thing for me next season

parachute payments kicking in? They're less than the money you get through being in the Premiership and having televised games!

But they do gaurantee significantly more income for us than the majority of the Championship so we're starting off with the kind of financial advantage we've not really had before (certainly not in this league).

I agree with everything in that article. This season, I can only remember a couple of games which I enjoyed (Liverpool, some others). Next year, we will get more enjoyable games with goals but the thing I'm most looking forward to are the away game. In the prem, the only clubs near us are portsmouth and London clubs that overcharge. Next season, Bristol city (maybe), southampton, swansea, nott forest, coventry, birmingham, wolves, both sheffield clubs, some london clubs. It's going to be great next year and you would be mad to think otherwise.

BTW, Birmingham city fans are w**kers (not walkers), what the hell were they expecting when reading went 2-0 ahead and then they blame the board. They should blame the players, they were not good enough to stay up this season

I agree 98% with the article. Yes it would have been nice to stay up. But at least I get see a couple of matches up here in Sheffield next year.

Thaumagurist* £22 to sit in the upper terrace that doesn't have a good view of the near goal? No thanks, shit stadium.

So you'd rather pay £48 to watch Reading then? Obvioulsy the Met Office pay you far too much

Yes the sight lines at Loftus Road aren't great but it's still a top day out. As are The Valley and Ashton Gate (and even Selhurst Park except for the £35 tickets  ). IMO, far better then spending the best part of £50 to watch Roman's Subbutteo FC.

Thaumagurist* Well, yes, I agree 48 quid is far too much - I never went to Stamford Bridge over the two seasons. But I'm thinking, £22 quid for a seat where the sight lines are poor? That's really bad.

TBF, I've been to Loftus Road twice and whilst the sight lines weren't great, I could still see the whole of the pitch (had to stand up at times but m'eh).
