Royalshow Right here we go guys. This fits the bill and counld't be more appropriate for the time.It was played at the mad stad a couple of years ago and therefore already holds quite alot of sentimental value for many fans. The words are not to hard, but still have enough substance for a decent song.It would also be possible for back the boys to play it before kick off and get it going. The trouble is it will be hard to get it going without being 'ghey' about it.
I've waited, and given the chance again,
I'd do it all the same, but either way
I'm always outplayed, up on your down days
I left it the right way, to start again
chorus 1
Now watch me rise up and leave all the ashes you made out of me
When you said that we were wrong, life goes on, just look how long I've agreed
Now watch me rise up and leave all the ashes you made out of me
When you said that we were wrong, life goes on, just look how long I've agreed
Can i also point out that suggesting a song that goes along the lines of 'We're by far the greatest team the world has ever seen and its super reading' would be laughed upon as it sounds stupid.Yet this is one of the most popular songs in football and is sung by practically every set of fans in the country.Ashes works because its got a fairly slow tempo and would produce that hair raising echo when sung by thousands of fans. It's UNIQUE.It also fits well with Readings mentality.
As i said with the gay away day club thread, just dismissing it purely because its constructive its stupid, then again its practically avoidable on hob nob.

Turns8 Stereophonics - Dakota
Thinking back, thinking of you
Summertime, think it was June
Yeah think it was June
Laying back, head on the grass
Chewing gum, having some laughs
Yeah having some laughs
You made me feel like the one
You made me feel like the one
The one
You made me feel like the one
You made me feel like the one
The one
Drinking back, drinking for two
Drinking with you
When drinking was new
Sleeping in the back of my car
We never went far
Didn't need to go far
You made me feel like the one
You made me feel like the one
The one
You made me feel like the one
You made me feel like the one
The one
I don't know where we are going now
I don't know where we are going now
Wake up call, coffee and juice
Remembering you
What happened to you
I wonder if we'll meet again
And talk about life since then
Talk about why did it end
You made me feel like the one
You made me feel like the one
The one
You made me feel like the one
You made me feel like the one
The one
I don't know where we are going now
I don't know where we are going now
So take a look at me now
So take a look at me now
So take a look at me now
So take a look at me now
So take a look at me now
Another tune that reminds me of the CCC season...top tune for the Mad Stad...
Row Z Royal "I don't know where we going now".
Questionable message.
