RANGERS will target Reading rebel Ibrahima Sonko if they lose £10million defender Carlos Cuellar to Tottenham.

The London club have already made a bid for Scotland's player of the year and Rangers know they will have to move fast to replace him.

Middlesbrough and Wigan are both interested in the 27-year-old Sonko, who does not want to play in the Championship next season.

Spurs buying defenders!

That's OK. He won't be playing in the Championship. He'll be playing in the reserves. Except of course as we all know he doesn't want to play in the reserves either.

Pretty much what Coppell said to me at the forum, Coppell was away for that training session, a mixed message and 'it would have been sorted out if I was there'

It does seem odd that they fined him afterwards though if it was a big mixup!

Sonko's agents attempt to drum up interest obviously hasn't gone too well.

Willie Young is the benchmark - do you rate as a full Willie or only a part Willie ?

Kitson4England If we get an offer above £1 Million, i think he is a shit player, he cannot kick a football, he cannot run, he can't turn and he has no knowledge of the game what so ever. He should be playing League One football at best!

Please, please, please someone come and take this donkey off our hands before we have to send him back to the zoo.

Err and that means? Using language like that makes you look like a bit of a birth canal.

Love you.

Kitson4England then Why what do you think we should do with Sonko? Buy him a gold crown and make him captain?

Is it just possible there might be a middle-ground?

Seems that he now wants to leave, guess he thinks he will be in demand after scoring for senegal the other day. Oh well should help push up his price tag.

£2m for Sonko, I'd hope Hammond is driving Sonko to the midlands now.

Sad to see him on the pitch last season, clearly he has lost pace and all his timing. The poor bloke can bearly kick the ball now, did anyone watch the Arsenal game ?

Get Danny Gabbidon now, perfect replacement.

Isn't Danny Gabbidon off to Italy for surgery on a long term injury problem?

Gabbidon is past his best. If Sonko does go, I'd say stick with what we already have at CB and spend the cash on a position where our needs are more urgent. LB if Shorey goes, LM if Hunt goes and Convey doesn't recover form.
