The 17 Bus
Alan Partridge
rg6royal I think he has realised the mistake he made leaving the club.

He hasn't made a mistake at all.

By sounds of that interview, he doesn't sound like he made the right choice. Nice to hear he holds the club in such high regard and as mentioned on a number of occassions hopes he will return to Reading as this is where he would 'loved to have finished his career'. Makes me wonder, when sorting out a deal with Stoke, if Reading could have placed a 'first choice' term into the agreement if we were to go up and stoke do go down. He is one player I would love to come back to Reading.

Graeme Murty was pretty scathing about this on the radio this morning. He says it hasn't gone down well in the dressing room. Sounds like Kitson won't be welcomed back.

Tim Dellor said pretty much the same thing on Saturday.

Truth hurts I guess.

I just wish this guy would shut up and try and improve his performances on the pitch. Not exactly a promising debut for Stoke (4/10) in a lot of papers and Stoke looked absolutely dire.
I think the club are well rid to be honest at the price we got

The funny thing is that both Murty and Hahnemann made similar comments about the overall squad mentalilty in the wake of the relagation.

I think Coppell has also expressed doubts over the attitude and application of the squad and his decision not to freshen the squad up.

It also wasn't too long ago that I seem to remember Murty standing up for Kits outspoken views and right to express them.

But it's one thing expressing concerns about a club you are still at and have the chance to correct mistakes that making comments about a club when you've jumped ship.

I cant seem to find it on BBC Berkshire website. Is there any online archive to listen to Murts interviews on BBC Berkshire? Would be interested to hear what he said about Kitson’s comments?

The biggest difference probably being that you can be more open about events when your nolonger in the same dressing room and playing for the manager who you're criticising.
