Negative_Jeff Does anyone know what kind of footballer this Armstrong is?
Good defender?
Quick?
Aerial ability?
Good on the ball?
Good on crossing?
Constructive or knock it down the line?
Long throw?
Left Footed?
All these posts and I am none the wiser.

Hes a decent player and hes top notch for cover which is all he is for us. Can play on the left wing as well where he can pop up wiht a few goals and assists. I'd like to keep him but its not a big deal if he leaves, Naysmith has made that position his own.
Armstrong is easily good enough for this division, Naysmith is playing left back but I think left side midfield is his best position, Quinn is playing there at the moment so he cant get into the team. I hope we keep him as he is good cover and I would like to see him get a run in the team
He's definitely more of a winger than a full back.
I'd like us to hang on to him. Good squad player to be used as backup.
What the other three have said really, decent player, nothing special.
Will do a job when needed which is why I would like to keep hold of him but it doesn't trouble us majorly if he leaves.
His passing can be left wanting at times though, so I'm surprised Reading would be in for him to be honest.
He's a nice kid.
Had a really nasty knee injury which he should have retired from. He got offered insurance money close to a million I believe. But he turned it down and worked his way back to full fitness, forced himself into the team and was a consistent performer in the Premier League.
He's comfortable at this level and is fairly attacking minded. - Cant cross though.
Nah, he is a good player and will do a job for you, or for that matter any team in this division. Even if he has a bad game, you know he'll run his blood to water to try and make up for it.
For me, he's the type of player that the game misses these days. He just wants to play football, regardless of how much he gets paid. Real football man, and is a credit to himself and the game.

blade 1 sad to see him go.
i think hes a decent player. Can play left back, wing and defensive mid. Never looked out of his depth in the prem, i would have kept him.
i dont think he is injury prone either, he had a terrible injury that could have cost him his career but since then he has been fit most of the time. He turned down an insurance payment to keep playing and that deserves some respect, in an industry like football.
hes not cultured but is pretty fast, can defend and play a decent pass/cross when the mood strikes.
Think he'll be a decent replacement for Shorey.
