Selling Hunt's not the end of the world if we replace him with a player of similar quality.

Hunt's great but we know all about his short comings and he's not irreplaceable in the way Doyle would be.

I think these last minute deals aren't good for club or player.

Hunt should stay until January, at least, and prove he's worthy of a move.

There's no rush.

I think Armstrong could possibly be able to replace him if Convey is not up to it. We would then have to rely on Golborne at left back then. I REALLY don't want Hunty to go though.

Ps can't the window close at 10pm instead?

Right, just sitting down after a rubbishy working day.
Can someone summarise the (real) interests and moves please?

Thanks guys

Hearing a few younguns have gone on loan, everton want Hunt (s) and villa want Doyle. Any of this true?

No way would we get away with the left hand side.

And there's no need to at all.

Hopefully Hunt stays and all of this debate is pointless.

If we sell Hunt, Harper or Doyle tonight it will send out a statement that the Board have given up

And thus if we keep them it is a statement of intent?

Unless of course there's a release fee for Hunt. Not a lot the board could do about that.

I think turning down 3.5 million for a player that cost us nowt is a statement not to cash in and leg it with the money

Hunt isnt even worth 3.5 and we were stupid to not sell him for that much, im the biggest hater of hunt (most likely) but still, i would cry if reading bought a player like him for that much, total rip off.

Hunt is worth more than harper though and going on performances this season WE NEED hunt compared to harper. Hunt has had some cracking games and has only featured in his actual position in 1 game where he was without doubt conteder for MOM

I don't know how anyone could say that with a straight face :|

There's more chance of hell freezing over than us finding a "like for like" replacement for Hunt in the next 2 hours. .

His return to the left wing , along with the much greater threat he provides there than Convey, did not coincide with our best performance of the season, not to mention the end of Doyles goal drought, by accident.

Being an effective attacking force down both flanks will be vital this season and only Hunt comes close to providing it........................ and that's before we even get started on the number of goals that have already been scored from his corners.

I will be gutted if Doyle goes tonight but it won't be the end of our season even if he isn't replaced............Convey as our only left wing might well be.

True Harper has been poor but Hunt thinks he's better than he is, he put in loads of effort to win the ball but since xmas all the stuf he has tried with the ball has been too much, he needs to keep things simple. Hunt didn't deserve player of the season last season in my opinion. He hasn't done enough this season tbh, he has been playin in a different position but ive seen him play better in that position 2 seasons ago for the reserves. The only thing that has been good this season is his assist/goal record: 2 goals 4 assists (this is before palace game) but his performances in my opinion have been poor.

We've still got the loan market, though if Coppell will use it is another question. Stoke did very well last season in signing players on loan and making them permanent in January. There is no reason why we shouldn't be able to do the same.
