Nice post. Tbh I thought your boys played some good footie at times and yes I agree with posters above that Gomez seems a decent player apart from his diving antics in the first half were pathetic.

Gomez is a class act. I thought Swansea played well in the second half against us and knocked the ball about well.
You are an outside bet for the play-offs.

Cheers for the comments.

i didn't get to see the game, but I don't get the impression you were a poor side. I think you'll do fairly well this season. Encouraging we've beaten 3 sides who've looked pretty handy (Wolves, Swansea and Burnley)

But it'll still be a long old slog.

I agree Pearcey, I said after the game. Swansea never gave up and looked a very decent as did Burnley this weekend. But Swansea played us on a good day and that was the best I have seen us play for some time. I thought we were fortunate against Burnley though.

always had some respect for swansea fans for their traveling support (despite the welshness :wink: )

great post there, suprised about the comment on our fans but totlat appreciate the remarks about the team and us being too good for this league...assuming we can make our away form as formidable as our home form is

This is an outrage!!!

How dare a fan from another club in our division come on our board and say what he is saying.

Surely he should know that we are a club with:

No ambition;
No chance of being anything other than mid table at best, and probably going to get relegated;
Unable to replace our superstars who we were forced to get rid of in the post relegation fire-sale with players who are anything but rubbish;
No chance of progressing in the foreseeable future;
No skill so only play hoofball.

I mean, to have an unbiased view that we are going to get promoted and play quality football - shows that he knows nothing.

:wink:

There is a train of thought that the plunging stock market is primarily down to the collapse of the market of these key consumer items in the Greater Reading area.

Only in a few small areas of the region are sales still relatively healthy......

rpark25 Just been given my log in so I thought i'd give a late note to you guys...

Fair play, you were fantastic against us!

both the Hunts were on fire, and Doyle and Kebe (?) tore us to shreads.

To be honest, I was slightly worried with the score, but when I saw how you thumped Wolves (so did we :o) ), I realised that getting a draw against you from now on is probably the best results most teams could be looking for.

Your just too good for this league, and your fans were better than I remember them being from you playing down in Swansea and us playing you in the FA Cup a few years ago.

Anyway -- not looking forward to you coming down, but I hope / know that you get up to the Prem next year - you deserve to be there.

all this praise from other teams is most disconcerting

thanks though!

Went to the Charlton game where they stuffed us. Spoke to a couple of their fans before the match and they said the Swansea fans had been the loudest they had had both inside and outside the ground. Looks like you're building up a reputation.

Thanks for the post.
Swansea are a good bet for the playoffs this year. Gomez looked alright when he weren't rolling on the ground.

Weren't they at that point the ONLY fans to have visited the Valley (from the valleys...) at that point of the season anyway? Of did those fans mean loudest EVER?

We were first the season -- but we were very loud that day.. Not heard us that loud since Sheffield United in the FA Cup. 5500 of us there.. was special, and we won 3-0!! 8)

all the best though guys -- i'm also doing distance learning in Reading Uni (Estate Management), so have a soft spot for the town.
