72 bus Jimmys home town of Vitry-sur-Seine is twinned with Burnley

I thought 'what a load of old toss' - but he's right. Now will this motivate him to have a blinder against the town of Northern English monkeys who dare to associate themselves with his home town? or will he have a sort of soft spot for black pudding, flat caps and whippets and just let them walk all over us?

He probably doesn't have a clue who his town is twinned with. I don't. Would he care if he did? I don't.

Yes, but if he'd seen a display of clog dancing on an exchange visit - well, who knows what this can do to an impressionable young boy?

Brilliant - black puddings, flat caps, whippets, clogs  You really have summed us all up - if we were living in 1900 that is.

lol - no worries I am thick skinned - probably due to the extreme cold and lack of coal for our fires since the eighties, in this part of the world

I have soft spot for Reading as my little sister lives in Whitley Wood, and I have been down a few times to sample the bustling metroplis and thriving culture that the South has to offer us poor Northerners.

It's Manchester actually

And we also suffer from a lack of coal to keep us warm. Right I'm just off to use my outhouse.
