Would actually like to see this:

-------------------Federici

Rosenior - Dubbery - Ingimarsson - Armstrong

------Henry - Cisse - Harper - S Hunt

----------------Matejovsky

-------------------Doyle

subs: McCarthy, Bikey, Gunnarson, N Hunt, Long.

I don't think N Hunt's form puts him in the "automatic start" category, and I think we might be best served to take a cautious approach. 2 wingers and Doyle feeling off Matejovsky on the break would be a frightening prospect. An attacking bench would give us options to revert to 4-4-2 if we went behind.

Time to gatecrash the top two!

We're due a big performance, and we usually step it up against the better teams.

If we have another performance like the last few games, grinding out a result, Birmingham will win everytime.

I absolutey CANNOT wait until next saturday.

Feds
Rosenior Ingi Doobs Armstrong
Henry Marek Cisse SHunt
Doyle NHunt

Bench: Anderson, Bikey, Harps, Bryn, Long.

Rosenior Ingi Bikey Armstrong
Henry Marek Cisse SHunt
Doyle NHunt

Bikey in for Doobs as today he lacked composure when it was needed he was constintly hooving the ball back up the pitch when bikey can start moves by passing it around the back.

2-1 Reading...

And it'll be the best game of the season so far...

Possibly.

i think may only be one of two change will be Henry starting instead of Marek. I thought today he might start with Marek on the right as he has played there for the czech republic.

We will see a conventional 4-4-2, but he may put Shane in from the start, as Ridgewell picked up his 5th booking today and is therefore suspended, leaving them with only NAfti and Jaidi at the back

p.s. i'm so excited, will only be my second away game this year due to ill health, absolutely buzzing

rg6royal I feel really sorry for Karacan just being pushed out of the scene.

Snap, too. He looked decent earlier this season.
Imagine a Karacan/Marek midfield... actually - don't.
We need a defensive-minded player in midfield.

Would replace Harps with Henry, although would not be miffed if Marek started on bench.

'greed with that

Marek in the centre pushing on with Cisse doing most of the defensive work.

I think if we go 4 in midfield we'll get overrun.

Hence my 5-man suggestion.

Brum OS Reading's home win over Norwich put them just a point behind second-placed Blues and the two teams meet at St. Andrew's next Saturday (kick-off 12.45pm).

It's a game Alex and his squad will now fully focus on - and it's certainly one they'll be looking forward to.

McLeish added: "The game against Reading promises to be extremely exciting and it's one we are really looking forward to.

"Yes, they've closed the gap on us but we have got more points than them and that means we've had a better first half of the season than them. We have to draw a lot of confidence from that.

"But we know they are a very good side and we have to work hard on the training ground this week to be fully prepared for the challenge.

"I'll be a bear with a sore head for a day or so following the Preston defeat but then I, and all of the lads, will pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and be ready to take on Reading next Saturday."

Prepare all you like... you'll lose.

I have no idea why he was so against that formation.

IMO, 4 man midfield and we will be totally overrun. Stick Matejovsky in the hole, with tireless Doyle to run onto his throughballs. Cisse and Harper to keep it tight in the middle.

Today's proven Marek's not a right winger, he drifted in too much. Noel or Henry on the right wing, I'd probably start Noel just because he has more experience; after all, this is possibly the most important game of the season so far.

Gunnarsson won't make it through a whole game, and seems to be supersub. So Cisse and Harper in the middle.

Rest of the team is pretty self explanatory really.

Oh dear.

I can only see one team for next week.

As I am sure Coppell will be the first to admit...horses for courses.. keep players in their correct position, not central midfielders on the wing.

Fed

Rosenior Ivar Bikey Stretch

SHunt Harper Cisse Henry

Doyle Long

I think Bikey offer that bit more than Doobs but wouldnt be unhappy to see Doobs there.
Henry is a winger, Marek isnt.
Yes the central two look defensive, but we are away from home and I would settle for a clean sheet and a point.
This may just be the time to rest Noel as he hasnt been great in the last 2 games and Longy may just have the confidence to put in the sort of performance he is capable of.
