I'd like Kelly to play against Wolves but I would understand if Copps plays Gunnarsson or Tabb as the game is such a big one.

Not sure but he limped off in Charlton's 4-1 defeat to Sheff Wed and was to be assessed for the full extent of the injury.

Really harsh luck on Murty, was getting himself back to full fitness, and looked by far the best Charlton defender on Saturday!

I have no doubt when the loan spell is completed he will be back into the mix, he's too valuable a player to leave out.

Looks like we're gonna go with Julian Kelly. Probably the right thing to do, but I've gotta say he's gonna make me pretty nervous

statto "As regards Bikey, is it just me that thinks he is far more composed on the ball and a much better player than Doobs?? He should be considered as first choice centre back, not as a back up for right-back surely?!"

Very much so, these "concentration lapses" are greatly exaggerated.
I get pretty fed up with Duberry hoofing it back to the opposition under no pressure.
Bikey is by miles our best defender, and on his day is probably our best player, I think he should be playing.

The fact that Bikey is injured could be a problem.

Good luck to the kid - he will need alot of support from Kebe assuming he will start on the wing

Wolves will be all over him like a rash

It must be tempting to put Tabb or Henry on the right-wing given Kebe's propensity to switch off.

Henry does less tracking back than Kebe so that is not an option.

Anyway Coppell has made a brave and bold decision with Kelly, when he could have played it relatively safe with Gunnarsson, but I think it is the pace of Jarvis that concerned him.

Whatever, anything negative that happens over that side* is Rosenior's fault as far as I'm concerned. He needs to get his temper under control.

*EDIT: in the Wolves game, natch.

Might actually not be a bad thing as the crowd should support Kelly in everything he does and first smart pass or defensive block he makes should lift everyone and that will hopefully spread throughout the stadium for everything the team does.

Let's face it this game is the most important of the season so far and we, as supporters, need to be as noisy and supportive as possible.

For the record I don't think we've ever beaten Wolves at home since we moved to the Mad Stad, and that's 4 games I believe, so even more reason to make sure the support is there.

The last home league win against Wolves was the late late show from Stuart Lovell in 1997. We did beat them in league cup a few months later as well.

I'd have said the Birmingham away game was far more important, especially given the result !

Bryn has played at right back on a number of occasions

He has, but Wolves have a very quick tricky winger who he wouldn't be able to keep up with (just think of Utaka and Shorey).

I'm happy to see Kelly get a chance as long as either of Long or Lita sit this one out (Long hopefully given Lita's hat-trick against Wolves) so that Coppell can have Pearce and Bryn on the bench alongside Marek and the striker.

Can't risk the attacking bench we've named for the last few games IMHO.

Agreed - when has Long/Lita changed the course of a game when we have been losing?
