The British education system(apostrophe), ladies and gentlemen(apostrophe), the envy of the world(full stop).

Why on earth would you put those two apostrophes there for? You'd also replace the last comma with a semi-colon.

Next?

Pitch could've taken a battering due to all the snow, touch and go I reckon.

West Sussex Royal been in South London today and quite a lot of snow on ground still.

Pitch inspection tomorrow at Charlton (v Cardiff) so they could get well behind as playing Arsenal next weekend.

Given that Cardiff have already played one game more than most they will not get that far behind

Isn't that a comma rather than an apostrophe or has my education failed me too?

English, actually. The Scots' system is totally separate from ours, and - from what I've seen - is better.

I thought this thread was going to say we had signed George Weah on free, what an anti climax.

How late are the club likely to leave it before they pull the fixture?

I only ask because we've got the Preston fans' team coming down for a 10.30 KO in Burghfield tomorrow morning.

I doubt they'll make any decision today as currently the now is turning into slush.

I imagine the Burghfield Sports Ground (or whatever its called) will make a decision before RFC do seeing as their (Burghfield) facilities are nowhere near as well equipped to deal with snow / ice than the Madejski Stadium is.

Wit a max of 2 degrees today it must be highly unlikely that will take place either.

Temparature is supposed to be zero degrees maximum in the afternoon, minus six with the wind chill; so that could have a bearing on things too. Nice.

If the RFC v PNE game is on then the fans will travel and the fans' match WILL be on.

A couple of years ago Reading Fans played away at Bury with the lines shovelled and the rest of the pitch white.

I've got the spades in my car already.

WTF - it's a comma, not an apostrophe.

If you're going to be the grammar police, at least now the law.

The game should be on, its very unlikely to be called off.

The pitch has undersoil heating so unless there's several days of constant subzero temperatures the pitch should be OK. The only unkown in all this is whether the club & authorities consider that the surrounding roads, pavements and stadium itself are safe for 20000 people to suddently descend on it.
