Will It Come Down To The Final Game?

by nickbob_sexypants » 18 Mar 2009 10:17

With the season now leading up to the final stages it seems unlikely that Brum will catch up with our goal difference, so even if we dont manage to catch up with them before the final day, we will still be in with a shot 3 points behind.

So do you think that this game is going to become the decider? and would you be happy if it did?

I personally think it might bring out the best in the team. Being forced to play the attacking football that we are apparently best suited for!

Glen Little chipping in a winner, Plymouth-stylee, in the 93rd minute would do perfectly.

The Brum game is a play-off final in itself!

Birmingham will get Raped if it comes down to the last day.

I'd like to say yes, but we all know the answer will be no. See you at Wembley.

think its guaranteed that all of the top 3 will drop more points before the end of the season so its pretty pointless trying to guesstimate points and gaps etc
but knowing us it will come down to last game, but with our record against better teams in big games i think we'll stuff em.

True, I would rather play Brum last game than someone like Charlton down the bottom

Well Charlton will be relegated by then, so I'd sooner play them, tbh!

I hope not, or I'll miss it. I fully intend to leave 10 mins early, even if it is 0-0 in what is effectivley a premiership decider. The traffic is going to be murder.

In that case I hope we are 1-0 down in the 81st minute, Bikey rocketing in a 30 yard thunder-blaster in the final minute of normal time, before Little secures promotion.

Did the league predictor on the BBC website this morning for the top 6 teams, going into the last match I had it as follows:

Wolves 83
Brum 83
Reading 82
Cardiff 79

So in answer to the thread title, yes, it will, and it will be bloody exciting/nervy.

Normally clocks in at around £2.50 a time...about 400 to choose from, although by Sunday it'll be severely limited down to under a hundred...
