Deathy
Thaumagurist* I'd dispute Martin Williams and Grant Brebner being called "lesser" Royals.

Brebner is a legend for scoring the first ever goal at the Madejski Stadium and Martin Williams for.....well...falling over the ball.

No he isn't you spacky shagpiece. He's fondly remembered, maybe, but a fooking legend? Seriously.

Which one one are you talking about, you ugly sandwich bag breathing corpse?

I'm fairly sure that Barkus left Reading before the 1993-4 season?

The problem with Caskey was he wanted to prove his fitness by shagging Martin Butlers Missus.

Caskey was a great servant, and at the time a Legend, but not a big enough one to really stand the test of time. He's kicked out because it's got so crowded in the hall of legends recently.

Thats my opinion anyway.

Caskey was bought as a replacement for Osborn and if I remember at the time bought for a record fee for an RFC player. I remember that Caskey struggled to seriously feel Osborn's boots under Quinn and Gooding - apart from the odd good game - and it wasn't until Burns became manager that Caskey started to show some kind of promise. Yes, if I remember correctly that Caskey was top goal scorer for one season but unfortunately the status of legend should not be applied to a player that really had one good season. I remember Pardew dropping Caskey because he simply was not up to the pace of the Championship. Please reserve legend status for players such as Senior, Gooding, Quinn, Stevie Richardson (very consistent), Steve Francis, Parky, Shaka, etc. Even Osborn did more in a short space of time than Caskey achieved, and he was quite simply a far superior player. Matter of opinion of course, but there you go.

You seem to have conveniently forgotten that Caskey suffered from injuries in the early part of his Reading career! Including a broken leg...

Ok, so I forgot Caskey had a broken leg but he still had plenty of seasons to show more than he did. It sounds as if you agree with me...
