Thames Due to our substandard performances in recent months, I really can't be bothered to go to the Sheff U game, despite having a season ticket.

Some m8's and I are having a Good Friday drinking session in town so will probably just watch it on TV and get drunk.

Anyone else thinking of sacking the game off?

as soon as we dont put in a good performance you give up? loyalty there for you.

If the game wasn't on Sky would you definitely go?

Haven't really got enough money to go.

I'll use some of the money I've saved to buy a few pints to drown my sorrows over our defeat.

Seriously what is going on with our club when the team are sat in fourth place pushing for promotion, with a massive game on a bank holiday and half our fans can even be arsed to turn up.
I wont be there on Friday due to being in Newcastle but will only the third home game ive missed all season, and im not even a season ticket holder.
Come on people go along give the boys the best backing of the season and watch what is the most important game of the season.
BELIEVE!!!!

Good to see the team getting the backing they deserve.

Which you can interpret any way you want.

The more I read some of the posts the more it p*sses me off. Yes OK, in theory you've got every right to abstain from attending tomorrow's game, especially if you've already been to a number of away games etc etc. But that doesn't mean it's right.

It's pretty obvious that part of the reason for them playing so badly at home (at they've had some good away games) is because of the cr*ap attitude of some of our fans. Yes OK, make your point, but don't constantly berrate the team. How's it going to achieve anything?

The problem with this club is that it has far too many fans who are quick to jump on the back of the team if they show even an inkling of going downhill. I can remember Sheffield Weds away a few years back. We were 2-0 up and all of a sudden, instead of getting on their backs, the home fans started to make a s*it load of noise, singing chanting and willing the team on. They won the game 3-2 and I've never seen such a great example of the power fans can have.

Some Reading fans just don't have that passion, always searching for instant gratification. The booing started after just one bad game for f*ck sake. Although it was executed in a really s*ite way, the concept of No. 13 at Reading was true. They can make the difference, but unfortunately it doesn't happen enough at Reading.

I'm not sure which is worst - watching it on tv or only turning up to shout abuse at the team. On reflection, I'd rather some people watched on tv than came to the match.

Woodcote Royal If only the true meaning of the word was fully understood by those who wish to define it.

Fantastic eh.

Would this plonker miss the game if we were playing Man U?

Think not!

Says it all really.

Don't know Woodcote but he was once kind enough to pass on a ticket for West Ham at home about 5 years ago and I'd say he's as passionate about RFC as they come. If he don't wanna go, fair dos.

But Thames on the other hand. Didn't he forego a game when we were playing ok because it was a touch cold?

For the record, I'm as fairweather as they come but I'm going. Gets me out the house and enjoying a few pints with my mates.

If hes so fkin passionate he should be at the game getting behind the team.

If hes as "passionate as they come" were in deep shite!

Well, I'm going, despite having seen the rubbish performance at Coventry, and will go to the remaining 5 games after this, win, draw or lose.

AlexY25 I'd planned not to go about a week ago and just watch it on TV but i'm going because of the GU1 thing.

I do that with most away games, I say to myself I won't go but then end up going anyway despite wasting a lot of money travelling to away games this year...

Thames in plastic shocker.....

I'm getting to town for 1, getting hammered, going to the footy then back into town. Sounds like an ideal BH to me!!

Reminds me of the Man City story a few years back (or maybe just a myth?), a season ticket holder throws his season ticket away in disgust after another dreadful game. Turns out he dumps it in garden belonging to a fellow season ticket holder who promptly posts back the season tickets with a note along the lines of "If I've got to suffer this dross then so do you!". Pretty much sums it up.

Which fans threw their season tickets at their manager? I seem to remember it being Steve Bruce.
