Having said that I am convinced we will have more fun in the Championship next year than in the PL. Bugger the money on offer I want to see our youngsters get the chance they deserve with the club and they won't get it in the PL.

Hold on - we've been told on numerous occasions by Sir John Caesar, that this squad is good enough for promotion !!

Hopefully he will now realise that it is pretty average and that his penny pinching approach as a chairman has come home to roost! ..also any ambition he had of selling the club is well and truly buggared!

The way we played before Xmas and before the Southampton home match - the way we played at both Wolves & Birmingham - proved to all that we ARE good enough.

The most galling thing is that we have long ago stopped playing to our potential, but we certainly are good enough. It's the massive under-achievement that makes it so much more painful.

Better today than expected of late Sarah. Or viewed another way he actually put some crosses in that meant something. At one point though his interplay with his brother broke down on the edge of the box due to sloppy and lax passing.

Yes, I think that's the view that most of the 9000 souls like me that have recently renewed their season tickets share. I do think Coppell has achieved all that he set out to do now and we probably need a change of Manager for next season. What really annoys me most is the desperate loan signings of Kitson and Little which haven't come off at all. I would be well ed off as a player with these two returning especially after what they allegedly saidbefore they left. Something is clearly amiss for a team to be misfiring so badly and for so long!

Hmm, unforgiveably awful, eh? Where does that leave the at least half a dozen worse performances this season? Burning in eternal damnation?

It was a great (OK, very good) start spoilt by the giving away of a silly scrappy goal, followed by the usual frozen in the headlights choke. Disappointing - massively disappointing - but not awful, and certainly forgiveable when it comes to Kelly, Stretch, JT, Jem and Noel.

Are we paying premiership wages to Kitson and Little ? I don't understand how loans work tbh, do we pay their salary while they're with us? Next season we'll probably still have SHunt as no-one will want to take on his over inflated salary. I suspect Doyle will go. Matejovsky will probably go. What must he think? What does he have to do to get in this team?? Coppell must have known what sort of a player he is, we should have built our team around his strengths imho.

I'll stick my neck out and suggest that next season (assuming the other teams don't all implode and we don't, by some fluke or miracle get promoted) that we'll struggle and be lucky with mid-table, unless we happen to sell a few players for a few million and use the money to buy some little known but talented youngsters who have a passion for the game and want to do well.

I cannot for the life of me understand the laid back attitude by the bulk of our players at the moment, it's almost like they just want to take the money and we, the fans and club, can "do one".

afik, with loans, the clubs come to an agreement with the player's contracted club as to the proportion of wages that the loaning club will pay, which might be less than their full salary. Wouldn't surprise me if we agreed to pay all of Kitson and Little's wages, however high they are.

Marek has probably seen the treatment dished out to Bikey the last year or so and so is grateful just to be playing half games here and there.

I remember an equally dismal, couldn't care less performance at Blackpool, around about this time of year, a few years back. IIRC Keith Scott was about the only one who looked like he cared on that occasion.

I remember a storming 4-0 win up there with the Blackpool fans applauding the team off the pitch at the end.

Until we join the ranks of Leeds, Leicester and Southampton, then the good days outrank the bad.

'This is still a good time for Reading' - the point being borne out off frustration that it could have been so so much better. The fans have ambitions for the club,which unfortunately at this time (and last season) the players do not share. They have no pride in the club or the shirt that they wear. If this is a good time - then I feel we should make hay while the suns shines, cos this is going to be a very short summer.

I wasn't sure how we would do this season, but it was obvious before Xmas that playing to it's capabilities, this squad was more than capable of walking away with the title. It's that we aren't even challenging that is the source of my frustration.

its seeing the potential of this side, having played so well at times this season that hurts so much
