We played Burnley off the park home and away they were not in either game yet still took 3 points of us.

The play off games will be different with Burnlety playing us off the park in both fixtures.

The play-offs are really hard to predict. Form and confidence will play a part, but so will nerves and I feel that out of the top 6 we're most likely to have player who can produce a bit of quality if need be, in the form of Marek, or the early season Hunt and Doyle, or from Kebe on a good day, or a Kits flick or great finish. They may not all be doing great but they're all capable of the one moment that can make a difference. I think we'll get a 2-0 win at Burnley. We can cope against partisan crowds and we'll play well without the pressure. Then at the Mad Stad it'll be more relaxed and we'll see it through. Then we'll freeze at Wembley.

I agree about his leadership qualities / pre match huddles which have gone missing. The thing is we shouldn't get him back into the team at this crucial part of the season just for sentimental reasons. It has to be right, he has to be 100% fit, but with the task ahead i feel even this would be a risk.

Shame really as he was a solid captain, and every quality that should evoke.

I thought he'd recently had a minor setback again. The only realistic time i will think he'll get back on the pitch is during the testimonial - if that ever gets off the ground.

Away leg 1-0 to Burnley. Same as last 15 or so games - lots of possession, most of it wasted, few chances and strikers dropping deep to try and be involved.

Home leg 2-1 to Burnley. See above

Some deluded predictions as always, Burnley are the best team in the play offs Blake, Alexander, Patterson and Eagles will run riot against our overated inept excuse for a team 3-0 to them at Turf Moor 1-0 to them at Mad Stad.

Agreed. Probably draw at home, though. Might even win 1-0. Will have wished I hadn't bought a ticket for return leg after unasailable position (for Burnley). Preston V Burnely final with PNE to win - they've been knocking at the door for years now.

Clarets fan here

2-0 to ourselves on Saturday - Blake & Eagles

Go 1-0 down early doors in the return, defend frantically & then a massively deflected equaliser off somebody's backside sees us at Wembley.

To be fair though - if you perform as you did in the two games against us this year we will struggle, you are still imo the best team to have played at Turf Moor this season (Even though somehow we sneaked a 1-0 win)
