Victims of our own success

by Rusty royal » 13 May 2009 20:11

With so many internationals in the team, do you think it has been part of our downfall?? We always had an away game after the international break, which meant most of the first team returned from wherever in the world and were expected to play within a few day, this was also compounded by the teams we faced had had no players away and were therefore fresher. I am sure if the team had as much time off as others in the league we might have faired better. As an aside, how many teams in the championship had as many international?

It's all gone downhill since we won the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup in 1879.
