We missed Harper, no matter how much you try to deny it, it's there, staring you right in the face.

Did we?

I suspect that we did too, to be honest.

But the rot started whilst he was playing.

It's so hard to pick anyone out as good or bad this year. What a big mess.

£4m for SHunt!? You're having a laugh! You appear to have over inflated Harper's price as well. And why are you playing Tabb on the left when he's put in performances far superior to his ones one the wing, in the middle?

I can't remember seeing so much pie in the sky nonsense on here in ages.

Are you serious? That team is much better than what we had this year.

Blah, blah, blah. This is a suggested way forward which is open to debate.

I wouldnt pay anything for Harper or S Hunt, but somebody will, or they wont be going anywhere.

Tabb can play on the wing and IN MY OPINION is too lightweight to compete with other central midfields in this division.

Don't want Beckford-a nasty piece of work.
Wouldn't Surman and McGoldrick still be on our radar and possibly Fletcher from Hibs?

Fletcher is over-rated and over-priced.....no thanks.

Surman wouldn't be a bad buy, though I see him as a more central player so only if Marek goes.

McGoldrick is decent, but not good enough to start regularly yet.

Feel free to suggest players you want to sign. No problem with that, but assigning values to pay for them and tha you'll get for outgoing players is laughable. This is not Football Manager

Tabb has been very good for us in the middle and pretty poor on th ewing. He hasn't been a winger since Brentford really and so hasn't really played on the wing at this level. So I'd say your opinion is pretty ill informed there.

Totally agree on Tabb IR, but whats your problem with people estimating buy/sell values of players?

Seems like a sensible thing to do as it kind of shows a bit more thought than just plucking names out of the air

I think the 2.5m for Harper is pretty reasonable, 4m for Hunt wont be far of either, maybe a bit more depending what the new manager thinks is the right price for him

I love it when people post a 'preferred line-up' that includes players who play for other clubs.

You mean implying than we might actually spend some money in the summer? You're right that is ridiculous.

because none of us are in the know and it's just total guesstimates. By all means guesstimate in your head to help you work out who you think we might be able to sign. But there really is no point in playing Football Manager on here.

We have no idea what value those players clubs value them at, what our professional scouts value them at, what their wage demands would be... Caluses in their contracts which might affect their value...

Do you see what I mean?
