andrew1957 It was interesting listening to Murty on BBCRB this morning.
Apart for the goodbyes - he said that he thought it was extremely unlikely that SC would have stayed even if we had got promoted. Implied that SC was quite burned out with all the hard work and stress.
I still think the only explanation for our loss of form after Christmas is that the players found out that SC was off. It must be hard playing for a manager when you know he is not going to be there next year - although to be fair Chelsea have done ok in this position over the same period.

Sarah Star He said he wants to go on playing atm and that his agent was in talks with arious clubs; that he'd starting taking his coaching certificates and that wherever he was he would always look out for Reading and how they were doing; and that he hopes to return to Reading one day.

None of which he would admit during the season which is why, although he's a decent bloke, his time on the radio became increasing bland, reptitive and dull.
Perhaps those who said it wasn't obvious Coppell was probably going to leave at the end of the season will read this and reassess their naive approach to the PR spin that comes out of the club.

Alan Partridge Must admit it's a good decision, we never got to say a proper goodbye to Sekou Baradji, Michael Dobson and Eric Obinna

Didn't we also have some Eastern European in on trial (not Mate, someone else)? Bring him back as well!
