Snowball That Shane Long bloke is utter gash. He plays nil minutes in an 8-0 and fails to score.

How crap is that?

Let's see when they've all played ten actual league games, competitive games, say 900 minutes total.

Looking forward to the cold hard statistics, which we can interpret and discuss. Maybe we can agree the parameters up-front to prevent accusations of "spin". I'll leave others to decide what they might be.

But surely 4 goals in 3 games means using this stat and this stat alone that there's no logical reason why Church couldn't score 60 goals for us next season.

Of course, you're so RIGHT. Every side in this year's championship will be like Didcot, Kettering and part-time Swedish sides.

I can't believe I missed that. So 46 games and Church will score 61 goals and be sold to Real Madrid, the first £100,000,000 player.

Dunno, there's a tricky little winger at Newport County going for £7:50...

My source in Sweden says we won 4-0 today against Tolo, with Long scoring all 4.

...local time.

Great news about Long getting four goals - can snowball maintain the sense of perspective he's been applying so far in the thread.

good news for Long. Rather worrying for the rest of them though, as this lot were meant to be worse than the team we beat 8-0.

Nice, but near meaningless, as I've said throughout

More than one reason.

1 Friendly/Friendlies

2 Level of opposition

3 Fitness

4 Rest of the team

5 Game Plan (eg Mooney in midfield?)

6 Insufficient number of games to see a real trend.

To genuinely compare we'd need, I'd say ten starts or twenty sub appearances, against serious opposition.

Having said all that. Shane, IMO more than proved himself in the last third of last season.

Playing in a dispirited side he neverthless got 6 goals in 12 to take his tally to 9 from "18"

Seeing him now get four is good and hopefully he will push on from here.

What an outstandingly silly thread, even by HNA standards.

Thanks. might keep an eye.

One comment thrown out as food for thought though. What is a better indicator of a player who may score goals this season. Four in 1 of 2-3 games, or four spread over 3-4 games?

Neither player is good enough to be our main striker. If there all we're going to have, this is going to be a poor season.
