RFC did have a sell on clause with Arsenal which was a rediculous 40%. Blackwell when interviewed indicated or the presneter did that Howard was a make weight in the deal. Strikes me RFC have done this deal to avoid paying the dosh to Arsenal so there must have been a net win for RFC as opposed to a straight sale.

Real Fact Real Money. However what a strange deal and we are still awaiting any official confirmation plus the Rosie deal is now rumoured to be off.

Time for bed for SDR as today I feel has been a dreammmmmmmmmm

It would appear so........although I am confused as to how we have signed Howard for £500k (not a loan according to the EP) and yet nobody knows anything about it?!?!?

Posted ages ago. No word on the right back, and rumours the Rosenior deal has fallen through.

Carlos Edwards joined Ipswich today, isn't he a right back? :|

Blimey a sensible post.

I guess the league looking into the complicated structure of this deal could be what is holding an announcement up? Or maybe Arsenal have cottoned on and complained?

Can play either but probably better further forward - as I said on the Rosenior thread Ipswich will have a seriously quick right hand side if Liam does go there.

Ryan will have his hands full when we play them.

That can be edited by any Tom, Dick or Harry - or you. But with Harper already being on Sheffield radio about the move, you have to say it's a done deal.

Maybe because of the family breveament which has held up / cancelled the Rosenior deal?

What can they complain about? We've loaned Harper out in his final year here. We've then bought Howard in a SEPERATE deal. Arsenal have nothing to bitch about.

firstdivision On talk sport tonight, they said the Rosenoir move broke down at the last minute, with reference being made to a family bereavement.

If this is already in another thread, then apologies but cba to trawl through, so whoosh away saddo's :)

Assuming firstdivision is correct and someone involved in the Ipswich - Reading deal has had a family bereavement this would explain the lack of clarity surrounding both that and potentially the Sheff Utd - Reading deal.
[/quote]

The guy they were speaking to was an Agent going through the moves of the day. He said that the deal had been held up because Leroy Rosenior's father had passed away (Liams Grandfather).

TBH it was a surprise to me, as I hadnt thought Liam was moving anywhere, but I am sure all will become clear later on. In the meantime best wishes to Liam and his family.
