And? I shouldn't really expect you to have the mental capacity to understand the role that Harps performed for the team. You are just typical of the MeNowMeNow brigade who fail to look beyond the zit at the end of their noses. Don't come crying to me when Harps is instrumental in getting the blunts back into the Premier League.

Cock!

Far be it from me to stick up for that self-satisfied old sod Rother, but to describe that particular poster as part of the MeNowMeNow brigade is almost as laughable as your rabid reaction to the timley departure of Harper.

Worth remembering that we'd only have had to pay 40% on the profit, not the whole fee.

Cock!

What a very OTT response.

I have never ever said a word against Harper anywhere over the 8 years I've been on here and admire his input to the team greatly. I just think it is best for him and RFC that he has moved on.

I do take issue with stupid OTT coments like "Harper is 100 times the player Hunt is" hence my slightly TIC (but relevant, if not entirely accurate) response.

It's only from posts like TB's above that I realise just how much my beautifully constructed, to-the-point, pure common-sense posts of the last few weeks must have really hit home with some of the less rational, more emotional members of the board.

How exactly could you measure that? Is it a case of if they get promoted then Harper MUST have been instrumental? Does he have to get a certain number of goals, assists, number of times he points per game?

Of course some people would state that just because they believe it will prove their point, when the simple fact of the matter is that Harper has not been "instrumental" in anything he has done at this club for quite a while now and we need to move on.

I would venture to suggest that he didn't start Harps enough to be able to see whether it worked or not. :|

Why would he base his team around Harps in any case? Unless they were all going to be doing "the crab"?

He'd expected Harper to step up and lead this young side on and off the pitch.

He couldn't do it off the pitch.

Rodger's knows these kids leaders.

Well I guess that's what he realised :|

I don't think Harper's been playing well enough for a long time now, kudos to Rodgers for spotting this asap.

With all due respect to Harper, (without knowing the bloke) I suspect he's just a big kid himself.
