Rogers has not made a great start to his Reading FC management career, however neither did Pardew, MaGhee, and Coppell´s start was mediocre to say the least. Rogers needs more time for us to really see if he is the right man for the job, but the jury is well and truly out at the moment.

As far as change at the top, then Madejski looks tired of it all to say the least. I don’t think he is the right man to get us back on track. I think a change at the very top would breath new life into the club.

Shh, it's a pre-emptive move to protect our own safety, not "regime change"

Reading fans are the most fickle negative lot so that was easy to answer.

You can't be fickle negative.

You're one or t'other.

So far 63% say "no, i blame the plastic, knee-jerk mentality of a large proportion of the fanbase"

Given that about 90% of posters on here fall into that category, people are in fact blaming themselves.

In my dictionary fickle and negative have different definitions. I should have put an "and" in to make it absolutely clear that I meant both fickle AND negative.

Think I fancy a change in ownership but have no requirement to see Hammond and Rodgers etc. get the push.

I know some Charlturn fans who were spitting feathers with Parky last season. Apparently he's the kiddie there now - what a surprise...

Given a change in fortunes, Buck will be seen as a bright light ready to take us forward in his own style.

Mind you,I really cannot contemplate the derision reigning down from those concrete steps should we screw it up on Saturday.

LOL @ the 28 (at current count) simpering and pathetic happy-clappys who voted 'I blame the plastic, knee-jerk mentality of a large proportion of the fanbase' in this admittedly flawed poll; supporters never lost a 2-0 lead or boasted of a world class model or enforced a fire-sale of the best players. LOL @ the thought that bitching, sniping and complaining on this faceless message board is undermining the football club somehow.

Now I know where I have been going wrong. It is all my fault that we are shit. It IS my fault that we threw away a 2-0 lead on Saturday. While we are at it, it is my fault that the Titanic sunk, Apollo 13 almost met with disaster and for the state of the world's economy. Glad that's cleared u then :D

Glory, glory John Madejski!
Glory, glory John Madejski!
Glory, glory John Madejski!
For he brought us to the Prem!

When John became the chairman we were stuck down in league 1.
He started building brick by brick, we started having fun.
He brought in Stevie Coppell and the journey had begun.
John Madejski you're a star!

Glory, glory John Madejski!
Glory, glory John Madejski!
Glory, glory John Madejski!
For he brought us to the Prem!

John pulled out his magic hat and we began to climb.
We left behind Oxford FC and all that other slime.
We added Little, Doyle, Kits and Shorey in his prime.
One hundred six and up!

Glory, glory John Madejski!
Glory, glory John Madejski!
Glory, glory John Madejski!
For he brought us to the Prem!

John refused to splash the cash, we couldn't keep our grip.
The other teams just spent and spent while we began to slip.
His chequebook full, he slammed it shut! Our coat was cut to fit.
Were now back down again!

Screw you, screw you John Madejski!
Screw you, screw you John Madejski!
Screw you, screw you John Madejski!
We'll never get back to the Prem!

Frankly it's well worth the vote if it helps wind the likes of Floyd up !

It's as valid a vote as any in a thoroughly stupid poll on a message board that lost any sense of reality several seasons ago.....

The poll is flawed - people are supporting the curent structure and that is the only availble choice. Teams are like stocks, they have their ups and downs, the trick is to pick quality and then ride out the downs and enjoy the ups. Anybody slagging Madejski needs to look at the position of the team before he came along. As for Rogers, he looked absolutely train-wrecked in the post match video. If we believe he has skill (and his track record certainly shows it) and that he cares about the team (and his emotion couldn't have been clearer) then it's time to take emotion out of it and ride out the trough in anticipation of the upcoming big upturn.
