We permanently signed him on loan, forever.

Think which you would prefer to be the case. It's the opposite.

I've been disappointed with him thus far, but hopefully he will come good. Yes, we bought him.

Ideal http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10306~1784707,00.html

Howard, 26, becomes one of seven new faces brought to Madejski Stadium by Brendan Rodgers this summer, and he signs a contract until 2012.

That useless lump of wasted space will be receiving wages from our club until 2012.

Seen him play for us then?

Great, just enough time for him to try & lose some weight, improve his speed, narrow his turning circle & look under the bed to see where he put his ability

Thought he was excellent first half v Posh, ran the midfield, always available and accurate passer
Not so good on Saturday and missed his target on quite a few passes
The jury's still out as far as I am concenred

Never been impressed by him in the past, and can't say I've seen much to change my opinion of him since we got him.

I thought he was signed on loan but only to cover him until we make it permanent in the January transfer window.

He's looked as utterly average as all the Sheff Utd fans said he was. Don't know why we signed him when the side was begging out for a quality defensive mid.

No one has made that attackin mid role there own this year.

Agreed.

Maybe we needed to do it in order to get Harper off our wage bill and onto Sheff U's? I'd much rather have seen us use a combination of Matejovksy and Sigurdsson in that role and we'd got a decent winger or defensive midfielder instead.

Does he have any assist or goal this season?

Perhaps if he didn't play in a midfield with 2 or 3 other attacking midfielders he might look a bit better - it must get awfully confusing out there for them after all!

Perhaps we should trade him back to Barnsley for that Cammel-Laird bloke, or whatever his name is.

But according to many we have Karacan who is superb and turning out MOM performances every week.........

I thought Karacan was quality the other day and I'm sure he can play that defensive mid role and will only get better

I'd forgotten Howard was playing after the first 20 minutes on Saturday. He was almost anonymous

Personally, I don't see how Sigurdsson is managing to keep our best two attacking options out of their preferred positions on the pitch.
