That's rubbish. The fact that Lita was cheered before kick-off today clearly shows that the majority of Reading fans are NOT racist. Why would they cheer a black/foreign person if they were racist?

Andy Hughes was a boo boy, and I'm pretty sure he was English. When Reading fans get p*ssed off at players consistently, it's because they are frustrated at the way they play, not because of the colour of their skin.

Any racist comments are from a very small minority, and I personally have never heard anyone say anything racist at either the Mad Stad or Elm Park.

Every black person who plays for us happens to be lazy? Where on earth have you got that from?

How is listing a few ex-Reading players justifying the argument that Reading fans are racist? I don't understand your point at all - Oster isn't even black!

hes welsh

On the evidence of today Lita was/is not hated by the fans, neither was Bikey and you forget that Gilkes and Shaka are two RFC legends.

As was/is Stevie Richardson.

Alivey I hope Middlesborough fans are less racist than our own and he excels and breaks into the England squad

You are a mug!!!
When are Reading fans as a group racist? You will have the odd one at every club who is a racist, but I haven't heard anything! How can you brand all Reading fans racist, which is effectively what you're saying.

Agreed. I don't think we are a racist club at all.

The only racism I've heard at a Reading game was Stockport away in April 1994.

Some horrible things said about Trevor Francis and Andy Preece.

Good skill and great strike by Leroy to put the ball in the back of the net.

The above (skill, great srike, back of the net) are missing on the pitch at RFC at this moment in time.

Well Trevor Francis is from Birmingham and deserves everything he gets.

I remember the monkey chants from the South Bank in the early eighties.

I cannot understand why people are slagging those who clapped Lita. I was shocked at how graceful Lita was when came over to the East stand - I honestly thought he was going give it some to us. Thought he deserved the reception he was given. It's nothing about kissing his arse - it's so rare to see that kind of reaction in football and we should appreciate it for what it was.

SLAMMED Fair play to him for coming past the east stand with his hand up.

Learnt from Tevez

I wanted him to run up to the main reading stand & point at the crowd and pretend to be taking a lady from behind and spanking her bottom in a comical fashion whilst thrusting his pelvis  In reference to him completely raping our defense for the goal, his crazy sex tape, and pretty much saying 'im gunna do better at boro really'

Bollox.

We'd just gone 2-0 down and people stand up, yes stand up, the applaud the guy. I dont care who he is. We might not have much to shout about right now, but supporting the opposition is messed up. Because thats what you were doing, SUPPORTING THE OPPOSITION.

Disgraceful. Like they say " Your support is fcking shit"

No, that's really not what they were doing, EVEN IF YOU SHOUT IT.

Tbh it wouldn't have happened were there not a general malaise about the club at the moment. If fans genuinely thought we had a chance in hell of winning the game, you wouldn't have seen it.

I took great pleasure in booing Lita's every touch today. 106 side or not he's an absolute Kunt and I wish someone had thrown an object at him whilst he was in front of the East Stand after his goal.

To be honest it wasn't supporting the opposition I clapped and chanted Lita's name today because I was making a point to Hammond. This is a striker, something we are in desperate need of and he was on our books Lita never chose to leave Reading he was released and he also scored a goal at the Madjeski somethin Reading striker only do once in a blue moon.

He needed three decent chances, something a Reading striker might get in season.
