either there is a huge conspiracy

or

it just happens that this game fits in better with his recovery schedule than the boro game/rodgers wanted to field the same team-due to our great win at preston

Valid comment a year or so ago, but compared to what we've got now he's not actually that bad.

He never seems to play much for them anyway.

Ideal Long > Scott > Fleck > Savage > Brayson > Rasiak
Rasiak makes Long look like Batistuta.

Please do me a favour. Have you seen Rasiak's goal scoring record at this level compared to Long?

Go on, post it for the lols.

Ideal I have no time for your bullshit namecalling, Rasiak's TOTAL LACK OF SKILL makes Shane Long look like Batistuta.
As evidence I provide the following video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2641032525617189763

Please, please, please post up Rasiak's goal scoring record at this level vs Long's.

The fact you wont just adds comedy value to your rather strange opinion.

Ideal Surely it would be up to you to back up your opinion, you can't demand that others should do it for you.
Long has never had a regular starting place in the team, and then when "his time" finally comes the team is shit, lead by a shit manager, and he has to go at it alone up front with no supply. As such it would not be a fair comparison.

But I put it to you to answer this riddle: Which of these two players HAS scored a premier league goal on more than one occasion, and which of these two players HAS NOT?

This season
Long: 2 starts - 0 goals - 0 points
Rasiak: 3 starts - 1 goal - 1 point

You can show anything if you pick the right stat.

As if he is actually fit  If he gets a run out then it can only add to the choice of who Big Watch Man will select next time.

I know this isn't a thread about Rasiak (!) but you can prove anything with a collection of clips

You've not seen Rasiak play for Reading and I'd be very surprised if you've seen much of Long.

Whilst I think everyone is entitled to an opinion in your case I could make an exception.

You saying so doesn't make it true, and I'm getting real tired of these claims being reiterated all the time.
Call me a geek but I record everything, perhaps I should send you some dvds..

So how exactly are you able to see games that aren't televised without being in the country Ideal?

Ideal Well, that's true Ian Royal, if it is not televised in any country then you can't even get a stream for it.
But most of the time it is either on cable here, on cable here taped (1-2 days later), or on stream possibly in some odd language.

I thought only Newcastle had been televised so far?

You miss so much of what actually happens in a game when you only watch it on TV it makes judging a player quite difficult

It does explain a lot of your slight odd opinions though ideal

Happy to see Long back. Think he will give us something extra - especially from the subs bench.
